Absolutely gutted to hear the news this morning that Tida has passed😔
She very much appreciated the work I have done for her son for the past 20 odd years and has held a soft spot for Claire Reid since first meeting her. We were lucky to be invited to her 80th birthday celebrations in Jupiter Florida last year, and that time seems very poignant now.
It feels a very sad day, RIP Tida you will be missed.
Condolences to Tiger, Sam and Charlie, my thoughts are with you all.

Back to work today after a couple of weeks in Scotland at Troon working for arguably the best golfer certainly of our time, possibly ever. He was in good spirits despite missing the cut and he is definitely getting better physically. 24 years this year working for him, and he still amazes me with his motivation and work ethics, he has nothing to prove and yet continues to try to improve on his physical strength and fitness as well as his game, quite incredible.

Things are done a little differently here at Laguna I have found out. Yesterday I’m told they are going to put a couple more trees down hole 5, see pics, putting trees in of this maturity in the UK would be way over most golf clubs budgets. Today I’m told part of the practice area will be closed for a couple of weeks because there’s a big tournament in May so they are re-turfing the whole area, again something that most clubs would love to be able to do.

As most of you are aware, I have been lucky enough to have been asked to travel out to the Laguna Gc in Phuket Thailand for the four months of winter and work at this quite incredible golf resort. It has been fantastic for the first two months and fully expect the next two months to be as good.
I am due back at the end of April and will take up my normal position as head professional at Princes Risbourough Gc. I look forward to seeing my regular and some new clients once the new season is upon us.

Hello all,
Closure of the coaching at PRGC has come, as it does each and every year due to the weather conditions that we have to endure. I very much look forward to seeing you all and working with you again in 2024.
As many of you know, I normally spend much of the winter in Portugal playing and some coaching.
However this year I have been offered a winter placement at Laguna Gc Phuket in Thailand during their busy season, and have accepted this fantastic opportunity. I will be back in the spring keen, refreshed and sun tanned!
