After 30 years of teaching swimming at Ivy Bank we sadly closed our doors in April due to the increase in Energy costs…
I’ve now set up a dog walking service after walking friends dogs for many years, please give me new page a follow and if you’ve got a dog that needs a walk get in touch

Users***

Pool Closure: Our last day open for Swimming Lessons will be Thursday 6th April.
(Pool Hire will run until Easter Monday)

With a combination of costs and the upcoming easter break/half term we will be closing a few days earlier.
We are truly sorry.
We tried our best to open for as long as we possibly could.

Thank you to all our Swim Teachers and Admin Assistants over the years. You have been amazing to have on board. We wish you all well in your future.

A huge THANK YOU to all of you that have been with us over the years. We have loved having you ❤️

Please keep swimming, it is such an important life skill to have. We are so sad to see it come to an end here at Ivy Bank.

I genuinely can't believe this.

How is it that our PM can afford to have a village rewired to heat his own private pool while other communities are loosing theirs?

Yet In Prestwich over the border Ivy Bank Swim School is having to close due to the increases in energy costs with no help from the Govt.

It's so important kids have access to a pool to learn to swim - it's a basic skill and something children in our community deserve.

As we draw to a close don’t forget that that the Ivy Bank way of teaching lives on at Salford University on Friday evenings between 4-6pm with Lynda and Lucy!

•Small groups
•Ages 3+
•£60 for a block of 7 lessons
•Over 50 years of teaching experience
•Deeper water to learn more swim skills
•Swimmers can earn 5 metres - 1,500 metre swim badges

Our lessons at Salford University are still great for beginners and even better for those currently in our advance groups that are ready for more!

We are taking on NEW SWIMMERS or if you’re an existing swimmer and want to transfer over when we close drop me a text with your details and I will be in contact:

Due to road works taking place outside the pool parking has become limited. We are asking our customers to please allow more time making your journeys to find parking and be on time for your lesson 😁

Thank you to everyone who has purchased additional lessons so far with the news that we are staying open until ***APRIL 12th*** your support is very much appreciated!!

Captain Mark will now be staying on until we close with his Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday lessons! 🏊‍♂️

Please keep supporting us through your purchase of Swimming Lessons, we love seeing your children grow in skill and confidence.

You can pay for them individually at £8.50

We are so glad to be able to teach them for a few more extra weeks then we had planned!

With your loyalty in signing up for remaining swimming lessons and continuing pool hires we are able to stay open just that little bit longer:

***POOL CLOSURE 12/04/2023***

We really don’t want to close so we are grateful that we are able to stay open for an additional few weeks to keep teaching your little ones to swim!

There will be a little change to the teachers after Sunday 12th March as Captain Mark has accepted a new swim teacher role however he will still be teaching with us on a Thursday until we close.

Wednesdays will be with Lucy 🏊‍♀️
Sundays will be with Lynda 🏊‍♀️

Myself and Lucy teach at Salford University on Fridays, this will give us an extra opportunity to get to know your swimmers for those that would like to transfer over and keep swimming the Ivy Bank Way.
