Preston Lodge RFC plays home matches at the Pennypit Park, in Prestonpans with the clubhouse at Prestongrange 'The Grange', Bankfoot, Prestonpans. The club formed in 1929/30 with Dr. Boyle as its first president and originates from the roots of Preston Lodge High School, formed in 1924. The club fields teams at every age group primary 1-7 (mini section, PL Pirates), and secondary 1-3, U16, U18 (Sc

hool of Rugby). At senior level, we field 2 teams; well over 90% of senior players are products of the PL rugby programme. A number of PLRFC players are currently playing age group rugby for East Lothians & Borders Academy and Scotland; and gaining many caps for their country. Two of our most successful players, Scott Murray and Allan Jacobsen, both played for Edinburgh and Scotland.

We’re delighted to welcome everyone back for another season of youth rugby!

Current players: please keep an eye on SPOND for all the latest information, session details and updates.

New players are very welcome! Whether you’ve played before or are completely new to rugby, we’d love to hear from you.

We’re back — and Mini Rugby has a Wednesday start his season! 🎉

Join us for a fun run-around for all our current players, with new players very welcome too! Boys and girls from P1–P7 can join in, get active, have fun and give rugby a try. 💪🏉

We’ll be joined by Mandy, our Membership Secretary, who’ll be on hand to help with any questions about our new system.

We are back in action on Saturday as Haddington visit the Pennypit for our first pre-season fixture 🔥

Next weekend the lads will make the journey to Newcastle to take on Northern RFC, before facing Musselburgh for The Jardine Cup on 22nd August 🏆

A huge thank you and well done to everyone who braved the monsoon conditions for our final Summer Touch Rugby session! 🌧️🏉 Your enthusiasm definitely outshone the weather.

It was also a special evening as our Club President, Gemma, joined us to begin saying farewell to our Rugby Development Officer, Jordan.

After three fantastic years helping to inspire and develop so many of our Mini and Youth players, Jordan is moving on to a new role—but thankfully, he is staying in rugby!

As a small token of thanks for everything he's done, Gemma presented Jordan with a club rugby shirt signed by many of the young players he's coached over the years. A fitting tribute to someone who's made such a positive impact.

Best of luck, Jordan—you'll always be part of the PL family.
