Huge thank you to local business Adam Smith Podiatry & Sports Clinic for their continued support of local sport. Six years of support has without doubt helped us to grow into the club we are where well over 100 local players get the option to participate regularly in either competitive or friendly cricket.

Tranent & Preston Village CC first XI will have a new leadership team for 2026. Former Ross High pupil Gregor Brunton will captain and will be supported by Ragesh Kuliyammarathingal. Our first XI will again compete in East of Scotland Cricket Association (ESCA) Division 1.

New season and new strip. Tranent & Preston Village CC wish to thank ACs Taxis & Minibuses for their continued support of our club and to AF13 Aesthetics & Fitness Wellbeing for their support in promoting local sport.

The new strip will be worn in cup and mid week games.

The sun has chosen to reappear which means the cricket season must be around the corner. Tranent & Preston Village CC will yet again have 6 Saturday league sides competing in the East of Scotland Cricket Association (ESCA) leagues. In addition we play regular midweek T20 games to suit players of all abilities. If you want to get involved contributing to the success of Scotland's largest adult club please get in touch.

It is with deep sadness that Tranent & Preston Village Cricket Club announce the passing of Ian Hawkins (Hawkeye).
Ian was a valued and much-loved member of our club, initially playing for Preston Village from 2006 and playing for Tranent & Preston Village from 2018.
Ian became Preston Village Club Captain in 2017 and represented the clubs on 215 occasions and amassed 182 wickets.
Ian brought warmth, humour, and unwavering dedication to whichever team he was selected for. He will be sadly missed by all. Our thoughts are with the family.

The Edinburgh Public Parks Cricket Association Annual General Meeting will be held on Monday 9th February at 7pm at Prestonfield Golf Club, Priestfield Road North, EH16 5HS.

Each club can send one representative and we would encourage as many clubs as possible to attend.

At the meeting the draws will take place for the three competitions to take place in 2026 - The Parks Trophy, the Terry Newcombe Trophy and the new Plate competition.

Member clubs can enter teams in each competition but must be aware of the availability criteria for players:

In the Parks Trophy players are eligible if they are playing in the ESCA Championship or an equivalent League or Leagues below that or not playing in League cricket.

In the Terry Newcombe Trophy players are eligible if they are playing in ESCA Division Two or an equivalent League or below that or not playing League cricket.

In the Plate players are eligible if they are playing in ESCA Division Five or an equivalent League or below that or not playing League cricket.

The eligibility rules will be strictly enforced and if anyone is playing in a League outside ESCA the club should seek permission to play the player.

The annual subscription for clubs entering one competition is proposed as £30 and for entering two or more is proposed as £50.

Preparations are well underway for season '26 for Scotland largest adult playing cricket club (6 Saturday League sides). As part of this we will shortly be ordering new playing kit. We would love to get involved with local business's in promoting local sport and keeping this local. If this is something you would like to get involved with please get in touch.

TPV4 finished their season at the home of Scottish Rugby and celebrated a promotion to ESCA6.
