**If you've been thinking about taking your baby swimming, this is your sign to just give it a go 💙**

You don't need to wait until they're older, more confident or able to do anything in particular. Our classes start from just 12 weeks old and those first few months are such a lovely time to introduce them to the water.

Baby swimming isn't really about teaching babies to "swim". It's about letting them explore the water, building confidence from an early age, supporting their development and having some lovely one-to-one time together too.

And please don't worry if your baby cries, needs feeding halfway through, falls asleep or generally doesn't cooperate with the plan 😂 That's babies! Our classes are relaxed and there's absolutely no pressure.

Mums, dads, grandparents and carers are all welcome in the pool too.

Sometimes the best bit of a swimming lesson isn't actually the swimming 💙

It's the little chats, the laughs, the encouragement when something feels difficult and having a teacher who knows when to push a little and when to give them a bit more time.

We don't want children to come swimming, follow instructions for 30 minutes and go home. We want them to enjoy being here.

That's also why we're so passionate about keeping our classes small. It gives our teachers time to actually get to know their swimmers. What makes them laugh, what they're nervous about, when they're ready for the next challenge and, importantly, when they're not.

Because when children are happy, relaxed and trust the person teaching them, that's usually when the best learning happens.

And I think this photo captures that perfectly. Just a completely normal moment in one of our lessons ❤️

Looking for beginner swimming lessons this September?

We have a few spaces available in our beginner classes at Walton-le-Dale Primary School and Hutton Grammar School.

Our beginner groups are kept really small, with just 4 children per teacher for our non-swimmers, so they're great for children who are completely new to lessons, a little nervous or just need a bit more support while they find their confidence.

We have September spaces available across our children's swimming lessons, from complete beginners through to confident swimmers looking to improve their technique and stamina.

With just 4 children per teacher in our non-swimmer classes, and only 6 in a class for beginners and early improvers, our fantastic teachers will help them build confidence and develop their swim skills at a pace that works for them.
