Due to high levels of demand, we have listed TWO beginners courses starting in April 2026 on our website for bookings - https://www.pgbowmen.co.uk/events-2/

Please note the Sunday course will have a missed week (10th or 17th May) due to our Start Archery event, so this course will technically run over a 7 week period.

🏹 BEGINNERS COURSES - IMPORTANT INFORMATION 🏹

Hi everyone! We’ve got a couple of important updates to share about our beginner courses....

⏱️ Longer sessions

From now on, each session will be 1.5 hours instead of 1 hour. In reality, we’ve often been running over anyway to make sure everyone gets plenty of shooting time, all the content covered, and space to ask questions - so we’ve decided to make that extra time official.

Because of this change, the course fee will be increasing from £75 to £90 per person. We’re confident this gives you better value and a more relaxed, enjoyable experience each week.

📅 Attendance & completion certificate

We’ve always asked that people only book the course if they can attend all 6 weekly sessions, and we’ve always tried to be flexible where we can.

Recently though, we’ve had a higher number of attendees missing sessions for pre-planned reasons (holidays etc.) without letting us know before starting the course. We are therefore going to be introducing a formal absence policy:

- Any planned absences must be made known before the course starts

- If we’re not informed in advance, we won’t be able to issue a completion certificate

- Catch-up sessions may be offered at the discretion of the coaching team (for example due to illness), but will be at additional cost, and aren’t guaranteed.

These changes help us keep the courses running smoothly and make sure everyone gets the best possible experience.

We had a fantastic turnout at our Christmas shoot on Thursday evening 🎅 and it was lovely to have some old members join us!

Well done to Peter, who walked away with top prize again 🎁 and a big thank you to everyone who was involved in organising.

And here they are! Following Steve completing his Session Coach course yesterday - today Pete, Tam, Neil and Cam have completed their Session Coach course!

- Thursday 8th January 7:15pm to 8:45pm for 6 weeks
- Sunday 11th January 11:am to 12:30pm for 6 weeks
