The £12million Arena provides facilities for Athletics (8 lane track), Rugby League, Rugby Union, Football (5 grass pitches) Hockey (2 floodlit all weather pitches) Netball and Tennis (4 floodlit courts) and Cycling (1.5 km circuit). The Arena also has 7 floodlit training grids an indoor room for activities, theory sessions and fitness training. A 18 station fitness suite opened in May 2001 and re

cently a strength and conditioned room opened in 2010. The centrepiece is the eight lane athletics area which is fully equipped for school, club and county competitions.

Our updated class timetable will come into effect from Monday 5th May, with some exciting new additions.

✨ 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗟𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 classes have been added
💪 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽 class with Bobby — Tuesdays at 4pm
⏸️ 𝗕𝗼𝘅𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗲 will be on hiatus during May and will return on 1st June

We’re delighted to welcome Bolton Arena Walking Football Club back to the Dick, Kerr Ladies Cup 2026, with teams entered in both the Over 40’s and Over 50’s competitions.

A dominant force in the tournament, their Over 40’s side are the current champions, having taken home the coveted trophy for the last 4 years 🏆

We’re looking forward to seeing both teams back in action this June!

🌟𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗟𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗩𝗶𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 – 𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆🌟

We’re excited to be launching a series of Les Mills Virtual classes at the Sir Tom Finney Sports Centre as part of the Active Wellbeing Project, starting Monday 16th March during Neurodiversity Celebration Week.

These sessions are designed to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for neurodiverse students and staff, helping to make physical activity more accessible across campus.

✨ Small class sizes (maximum 6 participants)
✨ Quieter studio environment
✨ Supportive and welcoming sessions

These classes are particularly suitable for those who may prefer smaller groups or feel less comfortable in a busy gym environment.

We’re delighted to welcome Watford Hornets Walking Football Club to the Dick, Kerr Ladies Cup 2026, entering the Over 50’s competition. 🐝

It’s fantastic to see new teams joining the tournament, and with more entries coming in, the competition is certainly hotting up! We’re looking forward to seeing Watford Hornets in action this June. 🔥

We’re delighted to welcome Workington St Joseph’s back to the Dick, Kerr Ladies Cup 2026. A familiar team in the tournament, they have been participating for a number of years and always bring great competition to the day.

In 2024, their captain Kate Smith had an outstanding tournament, winning both the Leading Goal Scorer – Florrie Redford Award and the Player of the Tournament – Lily Parr Award 🏆

We’re looking forward to seeing Workington St Joseph’s back in action this June!

We’re delighted to welcome Liverpool Feds Walking Football Club back to the Dick, Kerr Ladies Cup 2026, with teams entered in both the Over 40’s and Over 50’s competitions.

A regular part of the tournament, Liverpool Feds have enjoyed great success in recent years — with their Over 50’s team winning the Shield in 2022 and the Cup in 2023 🏆

We’re looking forward to seeing both teams back in action this June!

A long-standing part of the tournament, Hebden Bridge always bring great spirit to the day — with their Over 50’s side winning the Brenda Eastwood Award for Most Sporting Team in 2024 👏
