RSCDS Ribble Valley Branch, Preston

RSCDS Ribble Valley Branch, Preston A Royal Scottish Country Dance Society group that hosts weekly classes in Preston and Euxton. Scottish Country Dancing is danced all over the world.

Our local Ribble Valley Branch was formed in 1994. We meet regularly for dance classes and there is a class suitable for all abilities. At the Sunday class you will learn footwork, core moves and basic dances. On Monday, you will learn set pieces which will be incorporated into dances. Wednesday is for experienced dancers to practise and refine moves and dances. All classes are led by qualified te

achers in a friendly and supportive manner. The best part of Scottish dancing is being able to attend the regular ‘balls’ that are held throughout the year. Here, live music is often played and you are able to dance the night away with dances that you have learnt at the classes. All adults will be welcomed (please note, young people over 15 need to be accompanied by a participating adult by prior arrangement) – you do not need a partner to join and you will be supported in any class as experience dancers attend all classes. We look forward to seeing you there.
