Went over your calories today?
Please don’t slash them tomorrow.
One of my members messaged me after going over her calories while spending time with family.
Her question was basically:
“Should I eat less today so I’m still in a deficit overall?”
My answer: absolutely not.
You don’t need to punish yourself for eating more than planned.
You don’t need to “earn it back.”
You don’t need an extra workout.
And you definitely don’t need to heavily restrict your food the following day.
Just get back to your normal habits and systems.
Eat your usual meals.
Hit your usual calories.
Get your protein in.
Move your body.
Carry on.
Because one higher-calorie day isn’t what derails your progress.
What can derail progress is getting stuck in the cycle of:
Overeat → feel guilty → restrict → get overly hungry → overeat again.
We’re trying to build something you can actually sustain — and that includes meals out, weekends, celebrations and days where life simply doesn’t go exactly to plan.
No guilt. No punishment. No compensation.
Just back to normal.
That’s consistency. ❤️
