Pen Maintenance today…
Down side of having 🦌 on the Estate is the damage they can cause but the hole was soon fixed and onto the next job on a glorious sunny day. All under the supervision of young Sam 👍🏼

Apologies we’ve been quiet since the end of the season…

Been a busy few months around the estate.

One positive of the recent storms has been the number of fallen trees, so with plenty of team work today we made a good start on the wood pile 🪵 🔥

Big thanks to Lucy, James, Harry, Jonah and of course little Sam (best worker of them all 😜)

As 25/26 season draws to a close at Drumbanagher Estate Shoot, we can look back with real pride on what has been a truly outstanding year. From the opening days to the final drives, there were plenty of birds throughout the season, and every shoot day delivered, with all bag quotas consistently and comfortably achieved.

It was particularly heartening to welcome back so many familiar faces, alongside plenty of new ones coming through the gates for the first time. That mix of loyal returning Guns and new teams created a fantastic atmosphere all year, exactly what Drumbanagher is about.

A huge thank you goes to everyone who helped make the season what it was. From beaters and pickers-up to all those working behind the scenes, the teamwork, commitment and good humour never wavered throughout the year.

Special mention must go to Head Keeper Brian, ably supported by his trusty side-kick Alan. Their work rate, attention to detail and relentless preparation of the drives ensured every shoot day ran smoothly, safely and to the highest standard.

One real highlight of the season was successfully hosting the Irish Retriever Championship, organised at just three weeks’ notice. This was a major achievement and a real credit to the entire team and estate.

With one season ending, the next has already begun. Preparation for the coming season started today, and the diary opens tomorrow. We have already seen a real surge in calls and emails from new teams looking to shoot next season, alongside strong interest from returning clients. Existing customers will be contacted over the next few days as a priority.

A 50% deposit will secure dates, and with demand already high, dates will not be held!

Thank you again to everyone involved. It has been a cracking season, and we are already looking forward to the year ahead.

Simply… what a day 👌🏻
A great show of birds, some super shooting, but most importantly plenty of smiles all round.
26 guns making plenty of noise and enjoying every minute.

All the hard work throughout the season really paid off.

Huge thanks to our dedicated and loyal team — couldn’t do it without you.

Rest up… we go again in a few months 😜

Nearly the end of the season and edging just over a 100+ bag.
A super day for Maurice and his team with strong shooting across the board.
The mallard are certainly on the “extreme” side at present, and the pheasants flew spectacularly well.
Special mention to Jack for a very testing woodcock at Carrick Brack.

Drumbanagher delivered again.

Fantastic day at Drumbanagher for Gary and his team of guns. When the bag quota doubles halfway through the day, you know it’s been a cracker.

A thoroughly enjoyable day from start to finish, great sport, great company, and everything running like clockwork. Days like these are what it’s all about.
