𝗔𝗻𝗱𝘆 𝗙𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗱 🖐️

A match-winning turn in a must-win game from Andy Floyd.

His five-wicket haul included an incredible first over after the drinks break in which he took three Marple wickets. It helped the 3rdXI over the line in a low-scoring encounter and secure their Division B status.

𝗕𝗲𝗻 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗹 7️⃣0️⃣

The 2ndXI didn’t have things all their own way on the final day as they fell to 132-6 chasing 252 but they needn’t have worried.

Ben Turnbull made a nerveless 70 to guide the Jets home to an 18th league win of the season. He paced the innings perfectly, dominating a 117-run stand for the 7th wicket and only dismissed with a handful of runs left to win.

𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗢𝗹𝗱𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗹𝗱 🖐️

Dave Oldfield getting the jugs in for season’s end with an unplayable spell of left-arm spin.

Brought into the attack with the opposition having cruised to 80-0, the Chairman turned the innings on its head with a quick fire five-wicket haul. He conceded just 10 runs in the process as the pressure also forced a run out as the Jets wrapped up victory by over 100 runs.

𝗘𝗱 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 6️⃣0️⃣

Power hitting from Parko as half of his runs came in maximums on Saturday.

The youngster added a couple of boundaries to his five soaring maximums on his way to a maiden 1stXI fifty to finish the 2026 season in style.

𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗿 8️⃣4️⃣

Some final-day shenanigans in the 1stXI batting order paid dividends on Saturday.

Makeshift opener Dave Potter produced a quality knock that belied his usual position in the tail end of the lineup. Had the game not been reduced to 40 overs per side he might even have cruised to a century, settling instead for a career-best 84!

𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟮 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗽𝘀

One last time for 2026 (weather permitting)…

The 1stXI end their up-and-down campaign at home to relegated Ashley knowing 20pts would see them fly up the mid-table logjam in Division 2.

It’s trophy day for the 2ndXI who have blazed a trail all season on their way to the league title. They wrap up the formalities with a trip to Oxton.

It’s ’get the game on’ at Jackson’s Edge as the 3rdXI know only a win will give them a shot of survival. Meanwhile the 4s make the short trip to HMV.

𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗯𝘆 5️⃣1️⃣

Lost the toss and stuck in after weeks of rain? No problem for Will Westerby as he struck a spritely 51 from the top of the order for the 1stXI on Saturday.

He mastered the hardest conditions of the day in which to bat, striking 9 boundaries as he mixed defence with attack to get the innings off to a stable start.

𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟭 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗽𝘀 🏏✈️

The penultimate weekend of the season and we look to be set fair after some relentless wet weather.

The 1stXI will have to be at it if they want to finish on a high, taking on the bottom two to finish the season. Both be fighting hard to avoid the drop, starting with today’s trip to Christleton.

It’s a ground swap for the 2s and 4s as the Champions welcome Hale Barns to Jackson’s Edge while it’s Beer Fest day for Joe Roden and the boys at London Road.

But the game of the day is the decisive 3rdXI fixture at Holmes Chapel. This has been circled on the calendar for weeks and the Jets need to return with the points to avoid demotion.

𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘂𝗽𝘀

Absolute otter’s pockets stuff looking at the forecast, but there’s some theoretical cricket as we reach the final leg of the season.

The division’s form team Haslington arrive at London Road knowing a 100% record the rest of the way will see them promoted and maybe even title winners.

The 2ndXI take their championship tour on the road to Christleton, glad to have done the business on the field last week and secured the silverware in style.

Squeaky bum time in the 3rdXI as their season is heading right down to the wire where every point counts. Whilst the 4thXI are still basking in the glow of last week’s comprehensive victory.
