Another great result today in the 3rd round of the 2026 Fylde Golf Sixes league at Fleetwood, with the boys from Knott End Golf Club finishing in 1st place. The leaderboard has not updated yet but this should see us sitting in 1st place overall with 5 matches to play. Well done team 👍

🚨JUNIOR GOLF ALERT 🚨

Tomorrow we host the England Golf road to the open junior golf challenge. This is aimed at juniors under 14 years old without handicaps or have a current handicap that is above 37.0

We will be hosting this event at either 2pm- 3pm - or 3:15 - 4:15pm this Saturday 23rd may at KEGC.

The juniors currently booked on the Saturday sessions will all be taking part in these skills tests.

Evening all! Thanks to everyone for the commitment to the sixes at Fleetwood today! We’ve had an outstanding day today, especially as there were some longer holes and some tricky greens to attack with the amount of bunkers surrounding! However, all the pairings played amazing. Overall we have now moved into second place, just 3 points behind Poulton who sit first! Really proud of the guys again today!! ⛳️

There’s a little break now until the next fixture, if you can all accept/decline on Spond so Alan can pick the team. If there are too many next time we will draw from a hat to keep it fair. Any players missing out will automatically play the following fixture! Have a great evening & thanks again for your support! ⛳️

Knott End GC Pro Shop and Jack Clarkson Golf had the juniors working hard on their skills yesterday in the first of the new 6 week block of group lessons Knott End Golf Club.

We have just received a very nice review from one of our junior members grandparents

"To all concerned with the "Faldo Futures Juniors" event, which took place recently. We took and accompanied our two 10-year old grandchildren, Thomas and Frankie, around the course and had a great time, despite the tricky conditions.

From the moment we arrived we were made so welcome. It reminded me of the times I shared on the course with my two sons 30 years ago! As junior members they had a fantastic experience - what always struck me was the warmth, support and guidance they always received from members. Nothing has changed, everyone we met yesterday was great.

A special thanks to Junior Co-ordinator, Dan and Faldo Series development officer Gavin Forsyth. They must have put a tremendous amount of time into the organisation and running of the event - it showed.

Their kindness, support and advice was a credit to the Club. Everything was so well organised and the boys had a great time.
Thank you all so much for the experience. And thank you to the whole club for the entire event and hospitality provided. We loved it. And the boys will always remember it. Regards Alf Moran

Knott End Golf Club, an England Golf Junior Hub, is proud to have hosted a Faldo Series Futures Qualifier on Thursday April 9, welcoming 32 junior golfers from across the North West for a competitive national event despite challenging weather conditions.

Faldo Series Qualifier at Knott End Golf Club

Today we had the pleasure of hosting the Faldo Series futures qualifier, with special guests from The Golf Foundation in attendance — including both the Claret Jug and Ladies AIG Open trophies! Many of our juniors (and some adults!) couldn’t resist snapping a photo with these iconic prizes.

The weather may have been rotten, but the juniors persevered and delivered some fantastic scoring. Representing Knott End, Eddie came in 2nd place in his age category. Meanwhile in the Boys 11–12 age category due to a last-minute scorecard Ralph just missed on on securing the win. What a magnificent performance!

Both juniors will now progress to the next round at Carus Green Golf Club later in the year. Congratulations to Eddie and Ralph and well played Noah, Zak, Thomas, and Frankie who all represented the golf club today, as well as all other juniors from the Northwest who took part.

A big thanks to our Club Captain his support, and to Gavin Forsyth (Faldo Series) and Golf Foundation development officers John Selby -Sly & Andy Leigh for helping make the event a success.
