A week so busy we need two assets.

We start with our T20 team going head to head with Norcross Cricket Club T20 team at their place this Thursday.

Saturday brings two fixtures. The Firsts choosing the very best weekend to visit Coppice Cricket Club 1sts and the 2nds adopting AKS once more to face Burscough Cricket, Sports and Social Club 2nds.

We finish with our Sunday team heading to Vernon-Carus Cricket Club Sunday XI to cap a busy week.

Two disappointing results for our teams last weekend.

Our first team fell to a 7 run defeat falling just short in the last over of a strong run chase. Stand out performances from J Rawcliffe 49/4 and M Webster 42* meant we were never out of the game.

The 2nds had a difficult game at AKS falling short of the required run total against Vernon Carus 4ths with their highlight being R Lilley's 118*. Pick of our performances was P McCluskie 3/37 with the ball and 21* from R Shuttleworth.

This week's bumper crop of games can not get started soon enough.

All eyes turn towards Vernon-Carus Cricket Club this weekend as our 1sts play their 3rds, and our 2nds play their 4ths.

The first team look to make it four wins in a row away, whilst the 2nds play at our adopted home of AKS.

Our 'on the road' weekend concluded with (you guessed it) mixed results.

The 1sts made it three league wins in a row with a 69 run win over Thornton Cleveleys 3rds. Fine innings from M Webster (43) and R Tucker (41) posted a healthy total before a 5 for from captain Steve Rawcliffe (sponsored by Moss Motors) secured the win. Thanks once more to Coniston Cricket Club for their outstanding hospitality.

Our seconds fell to defeat to Penwortham CC 5ths in a low scoring game despite heroics from J Moss delivering 4/4 with seven maidens with the ball and top scoring 25 with the bat.

After a last minute hitch with venues we can now talk about this weekend's fixtures!

Our 1sts look for a third league win in a row as we relocate to Coniston Cricket Club for a home fixture against Thornton Cleveleys Cricket Club 3rds.

Our 2nds travel to Penwortham Cricket Club 5ths in a game that is always entertaining.
