BJFF - Bispham Junior Football Federation Tournament
Few weeks late on this one…
This was another new tournament for us and it was really well run with very little waiting between games and a great atmosphere.
Much of the same in this tournament as previous ones except we actually started off really strongly winning 3 drawing 1 and losing 1 in the group stage.
This put us in the cup section of the knockouts where we again met BJFF Tiempos which I think is 3 out of 4 times we have met in a knockout comp this post season.
The lads played some really decent stuff in this game and took a 2 goal lead quickly - Tiempos managed to set up a nervy ending by getting one back but the lads stayed calm and saw it over to the line.
Onto the final again to make it 4 from 4 finals in tournaments. Unfortunately we again came up against a strong TCFC Lions team who took a quick two goal unassailable lead and came out on top again.
We just told them all to go and enjoy themselves and try their best and they really did do that, so they can be very proud of themselves.
Nothing to to be ashamed of from the Reds who played great football in the right spirit from game number 1
