This week we’re celebrating one of our most treasured residents — our legendary hornbeam, Harriet.

Standing proud for centuries, Harriet has become a symbol of resilience, beauty, and local heritage. While no one knows her exact age, legend whispers that she’s been watching over this landscape for 500–600 years. Imagine the stories she could tell!

Here’s to Harriet and to all the trees that shape our world — past, present, and future. 💚🌱

The air is fresh, the light is golden, and the woodlands are alive with fungi of every shape and size – autumn has truly arrived. 🌳🍄

This is one of our favourite times of year for school trips. There’s nothing quite like exploring the woodland as it transforms, spotting mushrooms, hearing the crunch of leaves underfoot, and breathing in that crisp autumn freshness. 🍁👟

We can’t wait to welcome everyone and share the magic of the woods in their autumn colours. 🌿🍂

Building Trust in the Dark – One Step at a Time 🕶️

Our Nightline activity isn’t just a fun challenge—it’s a powerful way for students to develop teamwork, communication, and trust in a completely new environment.

Blindfolded and guided by their peers through a woodland obstacle course, students quickly learn to listen carefully, give clear instructions, and support one another through the unknown (with plenty of laughter along the way!).

Perfect for school trips, Nightline helps strengthen group bonds, boosts confidence, and encourages young people to step outside their comfort zones—literally.
