This Thursday, we will dedicate our class to the longest day of the year. Through Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations), we will honour and express gratitude for the energy, warmth, and light that sustain all life.

As we move with the rhythm of our breath, we will take time to reflect on the abundance of nature, the strength within ourselves, and the connections that nourish us. Together, we will celebrate the Summer Solstice with mindfulness, gratitude, and joy :)

The dandelion is said to be the only flower that represents all three celestial companions: the Sun, the Moon and the Stars.

In its golden bloom, it mirrors the radiant warmth of the Sun - bright, bold and full of life. As it transforms into its perfect, circular white seed head, it becomes reflects the Moon, glowing magically. Then, when the breeze carries its seeds away, they drift like stars scattered across the night sky.

Perhaps that is why dandelions capture our hearts so completely. They remind us that change is not something to fear, but something woven into the very fabric of life. Before our eyes, they move through different forms, each one beautiful in its own way, teaching us that endings can become beginnings, and transformation can be a kind of magic.

And then there is the wonder of childhood. The irresistible urge to pick a dandelion, close your eyes, make a wish and blow. Watching those tiny seeds dance into the air feels like sending hopes and dreams out into the universe itself.

A humble wildflower, perhaps. But also a beautiful reminder that life is always changing, always evolving, and often far more magical than we realise.

With love

The sound of summer rain…
Some people love it, some really don’t. The rain isn’t good or bad—it just is.
So maybe, as we move through life, let’s remember that different doesn’t mean wrong… 🫶

For the last six weeks we have been working with the five primal elements, known as the Pancha Mahabhutas.
Each week we explored a different element through our asana practice and breathing techniques. This week we brought all five elements together, finding a balance between Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Ether (or Space).
It was a lovely reminder that although we can’t always control what is happening around us, we can work on creating a sense of balance within ourselves.
When we feel more balanced inside, it’s often easier to accept, let go, adapt or simply allow things to unfold without constantly trying to control them 🫶

A new journey through the five great elements has just begun - Pancha Mahabhuta, meaning ā€œfive supreme elementsā€ (Pancha: five; Maha: great/supreme; Bhutas: elements).
We started with the Earth element: the foundation, stability, and grounding beneath it all. Moving slowly, yet with intention, we began to build strength - both within and beyond our beautiful bodies and souls… Grateful for every breath, every movement, and everyone who came to our practice 🫶

Thank you my beautiful ladies for coming to our Stillness Yoga practice this evening!
Tonight was all about Surya Namaskar or Sun Salutation - a beautiful sequence and a lovely way to show gratitude to the sun for everything it gives us.
We broke it down, worked through the asanas, and started bringing it all together into the full flow.
I’m so proud of each and every one of you . You’ve did so well!!! And I can’t wait for the day we can flow through it all straight from the heart šŸ«¶ā˜€ļø
