- home of the Solent Softball League Situated directly alongside Portsmouth College & Swordsands Bowls Association.

The pitches/field itself is hidden by the treeline, so you'll need to park along the roadside and then walk through to the field. BE WARNED - please do not park in the Bowls car park as you will be clamped! If you're heading to Portsmouth from the A3:

Towards the end of the A3 it ‘splits’ - left to Chichester/Brighton
- right to Portsmouth/Southampton (M27)
Take the right turn and then look for

the first slip road on your left
(A2030 – Portsmouth/Southsea)
Take this road into Portsmouth and then turn right when you reach Tangier Road/Portsmouth College. if you're heading to Portsmouth from the M27:

Stay on the M27 following signs to London/Brighton/Portsmouth East. This will bring you along the top of the city. Take the A2030 slip road on your left. Take the 3rd exit on this roundabout. Follow this road into Portsmouth/Southsea and then turn right when you reach Tangier Road/Portsmouth College.

Why not grab your picnic chair/blanket, bring along some snacks/drinks for yourself and then come down to Tangier Field softball venue on *SUNDAY 21st JULY* to watch our annual Solent Softball League - 'ALL-STAR GAME'

We're currently just a few female players short of having enough to fill four teams at our 'ladies only' tournament on Sat 6th July, so if you've been sitting on the fence about putting your name forward - PLEASE DO IT NOW!

All abilities are welcome to enter - there'll be equipment & coaching available to help those who are complete beginners to the game.

You just need to register yourself via the online form before the deadline date of MONDAY 24th JUNE (this needs to be set so that I've got enough time to have the team t-shirts printed & delivered).

SSL - Female Player survey

The Solent Softball League is currently taking part in a pilot programme along with the BSUK, which will specifically look into the overall recruitment & retention of FEMALE softball players across the UK.

To help us provide feedback on the Solent League's experiences regarding this over the last 3 decades, we would really appreciate you taking a few minutes to complete this online questionnaire.

We are interested in hearing from both current softballers and those who may have subsequently stopped playing (inc. new people who perhaps only attended one session/game).
