Tudor Sailing Club A friendly sailing club on the western shore of Langstone Harbour boasting excellent access to the Solent. We offer lots of on water fun for all ages.

Langstone Harbour itself offers a superb forum for sailing, with good access to the Solent for cruisers and sheltered tidal waters for dinghy sailors, rowers, kayaking and SUP. We also offer an all year round events programme full of racing, cruising, rowing, and kayaking as well as social events. Tudor Sailing Club provides an excellent base for water activities, with a comfortable club house inc

We’re so lucky at Tudor Sailing Club to see the harbour seals a lot when we’re on the water at low tide. But we also need to be mindful that they are really sensitive to disturbances and keep our distance. It’s even more important now as it’s breeding time with new pups are being born.

As we have some new members, and because a refresher is always worthwhile, before our excitement and curiosity gets the better of us 🙄, we are reminding all of our members about code of conduct issued by Langstone Harbour Board.

What a wonderful day for a paddle, albeit slightly on the breezy side again! That hadn’t been the plan - there was supposed to be no wind at all!
Anyway, 16 kayakers/paddle-boarder, including a lovely family of four, some new members, and a visitor all the way from America, went over to Sword Sands for a mingle, relax in the sunshine and for some brave souls, including the children and their dad, a swim!

After a bit of dithering about the weather by some members (well one of them 🙄) six hardy Tudor paddlers braved the slightly bouncy water up the creek to have some semblance of shelter. Absolute dream on the way back!

The Tudor Sailing Club Open Day is going ahead!

We would be delighted to welcome you to the club (11-4), show you around our facilities, and introduce you to our boats, gigs, kayaks, and activities.

Our bar and galley will be open throughout the day, serving food and refreshments, and you’ll have the opportunity to meet current members and learn more about life at the club. If you’re interested in joining, our membership team will be on hand to answer any questions and provide information about membership options.

Unfortunately, due to the adverse weather conditions, it is unlikely that we will be able to offer any on-the-water experiences. We know this will be disappointing and share that disappointment ourselves, as we were looking forward to giving visitors a taste of sailing. However, we still hope you’ll join us for an enjoyable day and the chance to discover everything else the club has to offer.

This week in the UK 11 people have lost their lives to the water. Mostly in lakes but a couple in the sea. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE! Educate your friends, family, next door neighbour, person on the bus about the dangers of the water. Lakes are VERY cold even in the height of summer and jumping in seems really tempting but can lead to cold water shock and drowning. Found this really good poster from Staffordshire Police with the key points on.
