University of Portsmouth Equestrian Club The official University Of Portsmouth Equestrian Club page. We offer riding lessons for all abilities and the opportunity to compete on our BUCS teams!

By joining the club you can expect a weekly fix of all things horsey, whether you choose to focus on growing and developing your skills during our weekly riding lessons or decide to give competing a go. We can help you develop new skills all while meeting friendly and like-minded people. We can offer you tailored lessons at amazing prices in both flat and jump as well as hacking, gymkhanas. Our competition teams trial once a year where we look for riders who can jump a course of 80cm and ride a walk, trot, canter dressage test. These team's represent the University within BUCS leagues. As well as all these riding opportunities our committee arrange regular socials ranging from themed purple Wednesday nights out to meals out and trips to events such as Olympia and Windsor Horse Show. There is always something for everyone!

Give me sport applications for both tasters and trials are now closed!! 🐴

Thank you so much to everyone who has applied. We will be contacting you today via email to let you know if you got a place on your session for tasters, or been accepted into trials. Please bear with us as we have had so much interest; we will try and do everything as soon as we can!

This Mindful Monday, we would like to start representing more of our UPEC members, through starting “spotlight” posts! 💜

For our first spotlight, we would like to introduce Evie to talk about her experience on our Friendlies Team, as a rider who has never competed before! 🐴

Our Trial applications are still open. If you are able to complete a dressage test in walk, trot and canter and jump a course of 60cm jumps but never competed before, have a read through Evie’s interview with Kiera, our Welfare Officer, and hopefully it inspires you to apply to trials!! 🫶🏼

Come down to Clarence Pier, on Thursday 17th September to come and meet UPEC. We will be there from 5pm to talk all things Equestrian and welcome you to Portsmouth! 🐴
