A huge congratulations to our tumblers who have been busy this weekend competing at the English and Silver English Championships in Telford! ๐ด๓ ง๓ ข๓ ฅ๓ ฎ๓ ง๓ ฟ
Some fantastic results from the PGC gymnasts who qualified for this prestigious event:
๐ฅ Callum โ R4 15+
An incredible 2nd place finish! As the youngest gymnast in his category, Callum performed a brand-new tumble run for the first time in competition, achieving new personal best scores.
โญ Hailey โ FIG 17-21
Hailey qualified for the final in 4th place and finished 4th overall. She achieved two new personal best scores and successfully competed a higher tariff tumble run for the very first time.
๐ Alyia โ R3 15+
Despite missing out on podium training due to car issues, Alyia stayed calm and focused throughout the competition. She completed all of her runs and finished a very respectable 14th place in a large and competitive field.
๐ Harper โ R1 13+
Only competing in her second tumbling competition and having moved up an age category for the English Championships, Harper performed brilliantly and finished 13th place.
๐ Noah โ R4 13-14
Noah had an outstanding podium training session and warm-up. After successfully completing his first tumble run, he unfortunately injured his ankle. Following a trip to hospital by ambulance, weโre relieved to report that it is a severe sprain and Noah will be back tumbling soon. We wish him a speedy recovery!
A massive congratulations to all of these gymnasts for representing Portsmouth Gymnastics Club at a national competition. It was an amazing weekend and a fantastic experience for everyone involved. We are incredibly proud of each and every one of you! ๐๐
