Starting today, Monday 13th - Saturday 18th February we are highlighting our incredible women in sport!

“This Girl Can celebrates active women who are doing their thing no matter how they do it, how they look or even how sweaty they get.”

Meet Michaela one of our two Shooting Scholars 🔫

We sat with Michaela and had a Q&A session this is what we got!

How long have you been doing shooting for ? ⏳

“I’ve been shooting since I was 12 but this specific discipline since I was 16”

How did you get into a sport like shooting? 🤔

“I started shooting through Scouts and then got entered into a competition and did well so got scouted up through squads and teams to where I am now”

Shooting is a unique sport, what would you say is the hardest thing about it ? ❌

“I would say the hardest thing would be to stand still and focus for such a long period of time”

Outside of shooting, is there a sport you would’ve done instead ? 🏐🏂⛳️

“If i was to play another sport it would be karate as I was doing this initially when i started off shooting”

Here is a couple fun facts about Michaela:

- She has been a qualified nail technician since 2019 💅
- Studies a Masters in Civil Engineering 👷‍♀️
- Has 3 different passports 🛂
