We are ecstatic and proud that Tom, a member of our club and junior squad, is racing under GB colour's this week in Turkey for the World Beach Sprint Championship!
Racing against countries including USA, Peru, South Africa, and many more!

To have a member of our club be selected to represent the country on the world stage is a phenomenal achievement and a great piece of history for our little club on the south coast 💙

Best of luck Tom, have the most fantastic time and we are all behind you!

SRC FUNDRAISER 2025 💫
31 past & present members took part in an erg challenge yesterday to raise money for Alzheimer’s Research UK, and club funds! We have so far raised a total of £1806, but we know we can continue to raise more! We aimed to see how many laps of Portsmouth we could do (1 lap = 23km) and our final distance was 502.4km which meant we achieved 22 laps around Portsmouth! We had a fun day working together as a team, enjoyed a fantastic bbq and look forward to starting our racing season next. Huge thank you to all those who were involved in the planning and running of the day 🩵🤍💙

We were delighted to be invited to The Leading Women in Sports Event held at Portsmouth Football Club on Friday. Bryony (Junior Co-ordinator) and Jaynali (Club Captain) were part of crucial conversations around how we can improve access to sport for women and young girls in Portsmouth. Southsea Rowing Club look forward to being part of a wider project to support these challenges we currently face in the local area.

A successful swim test and capsize drill was run yesterday by Mike Gisborne. Huge thank you to everyone who supported the session in helping our rowers develop their skills in keeping safe on the water 🏊🏼🚣🏽‍♀️🧠

One final sweep and the clubhouse is closed 🔐
The sea defences work gets under way tomorrow so the club has been moved to temporary accommodation for the next 2 years.

We are still open for business in our new premises (round the corner) and are kindly allowing us to use their facilities to get out on the water🚣‍♀️

We look forward to cracking on with our winter training.

But for now, goodbye seafront 💙
