Southsea Skatepark is arguably the oldest skatepark in the World, with the current ‘rink’ area dating back to a roller rink that was first built back in the 1950s. The skatepark was remodelled in the 1970s with concrete (bowls, snakerun, etc) and then modified again in 1990 with a new bowl replacing the old reservoir. In the mid to late 90s the rink area was built on with new ledges, banks, rails

and ramps and in the last ten years two new mini ramps and a replacement vert ramp have been built. Southsea Skatepark has been previously been owned by Portsmouth City Council but is now a registered charity.

One week to go!!

2x World Scooter Champion Jayden Sharman visits Southsea Skatepark on the 27th June! After our hugely successful Spanner shutdown event we have the one, the only, Jayden Sharman live and direct at Southsea Skatepark with a very special meet and greet event this June. The 4 hour event is packed with opportunities to hangout and ride with Jayden, plus a demo and filming (for Jayden’s popular YouTube channel) plus so much more. Tuesday marked one year since Southsea local hero Joe Loughborough passed away.

Some of the Southsea skate community met up to celebrate Joe’s life at the Red Patch (Speakers’ Corner), where Joe’s artwork is displayed. It was a time for community and togetherness as we remembered a great man who was loved by everyone at the skatepark and beyond.

Rest in peace, Joe. Gone far too soon, but never forgotten. ❤️💔
