No matter what job I’ve ever done, one thing has always meant the most to me — the relationships I build along the way.

Because relationships are everything. 💫

They create trust, connection, and a sense of belonging. They help us grow, engage, and unlock confidence and skills far quicker than we ever could alone. When someone feels safe, valued, and truly seen, that’s when magic happens.

That’s what I’ve always believed, and it’s exactly why Mini Athletics Portsmouth means so much to me.

Yes, we help children develop physical skills — but it’s so much bigger than that. Every child who walks through our doors is part of our team. It’s about building confidence, friendships, resilience, and giving them a place where they feel they belong.

Receiving this card reminded me of why I do this.

It’s the little moments, the connections, and the impact you don’t always realise you’re making that stay with you the most.

So thank you to Matilda, one of our awesome Mini Athletes, for this very special card. It means more than you know! 💙

There’s something really important about building connections with local sports clubs 🤝🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

At Mini Athletics Portsmouth, we’re passionate about helping children discover a love for movement, build confidence, and develop their athletic skills — but it’s just as exciting to know there are brilliant opportunities for them to continue that journey as they grow.

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting with a member of Havant Athletics Club and hearing more about what they offer for young athletes. It’s fantastic to know there’s a welcoming next step for any Mini Athletics Portsmouth athlete who wants to keep progressing in athletics and take their passion further.

Creating these local connections is so valuable for families, giving children clear pathways to stay active, challenged, and involved in sport for years to come.

As time ticks on, we’re hopeful there may be opportunities to collaborate together… so watch this space 👀

Portchester Gala - that's a wrap! 🏃🏻‍♂️🏃‍♀️

This community event was incredible and I hope that Mini Athletics Portsmouth will be welcomed back next year.

We must have seen over 60 children take part in our obstacle course challenges today! 🏅

Incredible location, great weather and loads of proud smiles.

The bonus was having my oldest help build some of the obstacles and doing her best to show others how it's done. 💙

Massive well done to the Portchester Community Association for pulling it all together. Thanks for having me!

💭 Think flags, running, jumping, throwing, cheering… and pure joy!

That’s exactly what the Mini Athletics Superstar Event is all about ✨

Last week, Coach Kaitie went to help out and experienced this incredible event firsthand — and what a day it was! From the energy on the track to the support from the sidelines, it was unforgettable for the children, their families, and the whole team.

Bringing together over 100 young athletes from across the UK, Superstars is about so much more than winning. It’s about building confidence, embracing teamwork, stepping into competition, and having the courage to give it your all 💪

And the best part? Plans for Superstars 2027 are already in motion… with the date already in our diaries 👀 Official announcement coming another time!

One thing’s for sure — Mini Athletics Portsmouth will be there with a team next year, and we can’t wait! 🔥

First after school club session at Highbury Primary School done and dusted and it was awesome! ⚡

The kids were well behaved, excited and full of questions.

They didn't all know one another but by the end, they were laughing and having fun together. 💙

The 2026-2027 school year is shaping up with some great after -school clubs! 🏅

Just had a visit with the headteacher of Cumberland Infant School, Mrs. Herbert, and what a wonderful school to get to be welcomed into.

Mini Athletics Portsmouth will be delivering after-school club for children here from September! Cannot wait to support the school's ethos and inspire their children to succeed.

Still buzzing from the past couple of days. ⚡

The annual conference was incredible and it was so nice spending time getting to know the other franchisees.
Learning about research being done for and was so interesting, getting to learn through play with really brought what we do to life, learning how to throw javelin from Bronze medal Olympian, was EPIC.🏅

Thinking about how to be an Impact Leader, how to support behaviour and to celebrate 10 YEARS of Mini Athletics with Hannah, Clare and Kirk - beyond amazing. 💫

Then to follow that with the event of the year not to be missed, ⭐SUPERSTARS 2026⭐ was amazing.. taking a group of young athletes to celebrate physical movement and try their best with a team is a wonderful experience. Cannot wait to take a team next year!

An exciting day ahead as I make my way to for my first-ever Annual Conference!

I'll be spending the day with other franchisees, talking about all the things we love about physical literacy, child development and sport - plus making our businesses as impactful and successful as possible! 🏅

Day-long events like these are so important for learning and development, but also to just spend time with like-minded people from across the country.
