🏁 DONINGTON PARK — THE PACE, THE LAP RECORD… AND A PAINFUL END

A weekend that’s going to sting for a while — and I’m not just talking about the ribs.

After a wet Thursday, qualifying on Saturday was effectively my first proper dry running at Donington in this car. Starting P10, we made steady progress through the races:

P11 in Race 1
P9 in Race 2

Then Race 3 came alive.

The car was an absolute rocket 🚀 From P10, I fought my way up to P5 and onto the back of the leading group — setting a new MINI Challenge Trophy lap record along the way. ⏱️🔥

Unfortunately, on the penultimate lap, I was clipped in a confusing incident involving a slowing car and sent hard into the wall. The car recorded a 30G impact.

Thankfully, everyone walked away without serious injury. I’ve got some bruised ribs, but the MINI didn’t fare quite so well.

The DNF leaves us just 8 points ahead in the Directors Championship, P5 in the Rookie standings and P11 overall.

A huge thank you to PRO-AM Racing for giving me a car capable of fighting at the front, and to WiRE — Women in Race Engineering for another brilliant weekend of developing early-career female motorsport engineers.

Thank you as always to all our partners, especially Rainford Engineering and R50 Motorsport Marketing, for their continued support.

Now we assess the damage, regroup and work out how we get back on that grid.

Because Donington proved one thing:

🏁 RACE WEEK — DONINGTON PARK! 🏁

We’re back in action this week with PRO-AM Racing in the MINI CHALLENGE UK Trophy Championship, supporting the British Touring Car Championship at Donington Park ! 🔵⚪️

The weekend starts with testing on Thursday, before things get serious:

🔧 Thursday — Testing
⏱️ Saturday — Qualifying + Race 1
🏁 Sunday — Races 2 & 3

Looking forward to getting back behind the wheel of the MINI and seeing what we can do across the weekend. 💪

🏁 RACE WEEK | CADWELL PARK 🏁

This weekend we’re heading to one of my favourite circuits on the calendar as the BRSCC Nankang Tyre CityCar Cup Championship and Student Motorsport head to Cadwell Park for Rounds 10 & 11.

Cadwell is a circuit that has everything. Fast, technical, undulating and incredibly narrow, it’s a track that demands precision and commitment every lap. In these little CityCars it always produces brilliant racing, and I can’t wait to get back out there.

I’m heading into the weekend leading the Student Motorsport Championship and sitting just five points behind in the overall CityCar Cup Drivers’ Championship, so there’s everything to play for over the next two races.

🔧 A huge shoutout to the team at RTW Service & Repair

They’ve recently added a fuel injector cleaning, testing and balancing machine to their ever-growing list of services, and after using it myself, I can honestly say it’s well worth considering

I’d been chasing a frustrating lack of low-end torque and an overall loss of power in my race car. After testing my injectors, RTW found they were quite a long way out of balance. They rebuilt them, thoroughly tested them, and balanced the set to within 2% of each other

The difference was immediate. The car felt alive again, with the power delivery back to how it should be – if not even better than before

It’s surprising how much of an impact a slightly imbalanced set of injectors can have on engine performance, drivability and efficiency. If you’re chasing a power issue or simply want the peace of mind that your injectors are performing as they should, I’d definitely recommend getting them checked

The turnaround was incredibly quick, the communication was excellent, and they were a pleasure to deal with from start to finish

🏁 Thruxton ✔️ | MINI Challenge Trophy Championship | Round 4

What a weekend! My first time racing at the UK’s fastest circuit, and we had the pace to fight right at the front all weekend. It’s always an experience being on the TOCA package, with so many spectators walking around and TV cameras everywhere. Thruxton Race Circuit definitely delivered!

Friday testing wasn’t without its challenges, battling ABS issues for much of the day, but the team worked incredibly hard to get everything sorted before qualifying.

Qualifying was one to remember. With a good tow around a circuit where it makes all the difference, I put together some strong laps and came into the pits with 8 minutes remaining to find I was P1! Unfortunately, I slipped back to P3 by the end of the session, while my second fastest lap left me P11 for Race 1. Just 0.5 seconds covered the top 15 cars!

🏁 Race 1: P11 ➡️ P7

🏁 Race 2: Started P6 but got caught up in plenty of contact, dropping to P15. Despite a buckled wheel and a hole in the radiator, I fought back to P12.

🏁 Race 3: Starting P3 in front of the huge BTCC crowd, I briefly took the lead before an incredible battle saw the top group run nose-to-tail to the finish. I crossed the line P6, just 0.4 seconds behind the winner.

Overall, another hugely positive weekend. The pace is there, we’re fighting at the front, and it’s only a matter of time before everything comes together.

Massive thanks to everyone at PRO-AM Racing for giving me a fantastic car all weekend, and to all of our partners for making it possible.

🏁 RACE WEEK | THRUXTON 🏁

Round 4 of the MINI CHALLENGE UK Trophy Championship takes us to the fastest circuit in the UK this weekend as we return to the BTCC support package with PRO-AM Racing. 💪

After some strong performances over the last few rounds, I’m looking forward to getting back behind the wheel and seeing what we can achieve at Thruxton Race Circuit.

It’s also another huge weekend for WiRE – Women in Race Engineering, as we continue providing aspiring female motorsport engineers with real trackside experience alongside the fantastic Pro-Am Racing team.

🏁 Croft ✔️ | CityCar Cup | Rounds 7, 8 & 9

A strong weekend with TNR Motorsport (Team Northbrook Racing), but we’re still chasing that top step.

Friday testing was productive, finally identifying the issues that had been holding us back since the last round. The car felt much better, and we headed into the weekend full of confidence.

Qualifying was going well and I was up on my best lap when a red flag ended the session, leaving me P4 for Race 1.

🏁 Race 1: An incredible start saw me go around the outside of two cars into Turn 1 to take the lead. I held it for the opening laps before dropping to P2. Despite setting the fastest lap, I couldn’t quite make the move for the win.

🏁 Race 2: Another strong start and a race-long battle for the lead, but I had to settle for another P2.

🏁 Race 3: Took the lead on lap one before a small mistake put two wheels on the grass, dropping me to P5. After a Safety Car and a perfectly timed restart, I fought back to finish P2.

Three races. Three podiums. Fastest lap. More valuable championship points.

Most importantly, three Student Motorsport wins strengthen our lead at the top of the championship. 💪

A huge thank you to everyone at Team Northbrook College Racing for all their hard work throughout the weekend.

Next stop: Cadwell Park. Let’s see if we can finally stand on that top step. 🏆

🏁 RACE WEEK | CROFT 🏁

We’re back in action this weekend as the CityCar Cup heads to Croft for rounds 7, 8 & 9.

It’s been a fantastic start to the season with Team Northbrook Racing, and we’re heading into the weekend leading both the overall CityCar Cup Drivers’ Championship and the Student Motorsport Championship. The focus now is on maintaining that momentum and adding more valuable points to both title campaigns.
