Final game of the season.
Dorchester Stars 🌟 vs Panthers 🐆
One final push to finish what has been a fantastic season.
Kick off ⚽️
Both teams started brightly, moving the ball well and working hard out of possession, but no goals separated the sides early on. Panthers, playing against the wind in the first half, managed the game extremely well.
Half time: 0-0
Second half, with the wind now behind us, the message was clear — get the ball forward with quality and we will win this game.
With the game finely balanced, Panthers struck first from a cross… or was it a shot? We may never know, but we’ll take it! 😅
We kept probing for opportunities and then BOOM 💥 another goal for Panthers.
2-0 🐆
A long throw from Stars caused all sorts of problems — unusual for us — and they pulled one back.
2-1. Game on.
But our striker, who has scored in all but TWO games this season, stepped up once again with another huge goal to restore the lead.
3-1 🐆
Then brilliant defending from our stand-in left back, hooking the ball forward. Our winger chased what looked like a lost cause, but the keeper misjudged the bounce and he tapped into an empty net.
