I had a chat with a client the other day, and we got onto this question: What will your pension pay for? A holiday… or a stairlift?
It's a simple question, but it hits hard and is worth asking.
My whole approach to fitness is built on this idea: exercise is a pension plan for your body.
The work you put in today is a down payment on a future where you can still do the things you want. It's about having the strength to pick up your grandkids, go on a long walk, or easily get out of the pool on holiday in your 80s or 90s.
