We're delighted to welcome Barnstaple Town to Bristol Road and would like to thank them for stepping in at short notice to help make this special evening possible.

It promises to be a memorable occasion as we celebrate Barry's life, share memories, and support a cause that is close to many of our hearts.

🧤 𝗦𝗠𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗕𝗘 𝗝𝗢𝗜𝗡𝗦 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗦𝗦𝗘𝗧!

Portishead Town is delighted to announce the arrival of experienced goalkeeper James Smallcombe ahead of the 2026/27 season.

James arrives at Bristol Road with a wealth of experience, having made over 350 appearances for Undy in the Cymru South across a remarkable ten-year spell. He then joined Cinderford Town, helping the club secure promotion via the Hellenic League play-offs before competing in the Southern League. Most recently, James was part of the Paulton Rovers side that won promotion through the Western League play-offs last season.

His experience, leadership and winning mentality will be a huge asset to the squad as we prepare for the new campaign.

Speaking after his arrival, James said:

"Really happy to be signing. After talking to Mounts and hearing the plans both on and off the pitch, it made my decision an easy one. I'm looking forward to playing my part in getting the club back to the Southern League."

This is an exciting partnership for the club, and one we’re genuinely proud of. From the outset, Claire Reed at Dyno‑Rod South has shown a real commitment, not just to supporting the club, but to the wider community that sits at the heart of everything we do.

Their backing helps us continue to provide an inclusive, welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities — from our grassroots juniors right through to our adult and community teams, including our Parkinson’s football. It also supports the many initiatives we run across the year, including charity events, tournaments, and community programmes.

Today, we are proud to share Portishead Town Football Club's first-ever 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗜𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁.

While results on the pitch will always be important, our club is about so much more than football. From providing opportunities for players of all ages, to supporting our local community, volunteers, supporters and partners, this report highlights the positive impact being made across the club every day.

A message from Chairman Grant Jefferies:

"It's important that during the off season we take the time to reflect and celebrate everything that makes our club special.

I hope you enjoy reading our first ever Social Impact Report and it gives you some motivation and inspiration to keep up your connection and support for the club. We want to go further and our objective is to enhance facilities, improve the player experience and build on the great work we already do at the club."

Portishead Town is delighted to announce the arrival of experienced defender 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲 𝗞𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗱𝗼𝗻 ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Steve arrives at Bristol Road bringing quality, leadership and a wealth of experience to the squad, adding further strength and depth to the Posset back line.

Steve said:

“Being friends with, and having played with, a lot of the lads here, I’ve always been aware of the feel-good factor around the club and the standards that have helped bring success over the last few years.

After speaking with the management team and hearing their plans, it felt like the right move for me and one that matched my own ambitions.

I can’t wait to pull on the shirt and play in front of the ever-present Posset fans.”

⚽️ Junior Section Shoutout! ⚽️

Another great grassroots story at PTFC. The U12 Pumas have had an amazing 25/26 season. Last year they won 2 games, this year they won 15. Last year they scored 9 goals, this year they scored 56! And as a result gained promotion to Bristol Girls Division B.

Congratulations to all the players and coaches! Everyone at PTFC is incredibly proud of you!
