Sparks British F2 Sidecar Passenger Shaun Parker is a Formula 2 sidecar passenger, currently competing in the years BEMSEE sidecar championships https://www.bemsee.net

Shaun Parker has been racing as a F2 sidecar passenger since 2004 winning man of the meeting at his only 3rd race meeting. He raced with Nick Faulkner in 2006 and 2007 coming 2nd in North Gloucester F2 championship. In 2008 he teamed up with driver Matt Dix and succeeded in winning both the F2 and F1 North Gloucester Sidecar Championships on their 2000 Baker F2 sidecar (this was the first and only time in the clubs history that it has been achieved) Shaun continued raving with Matt over the next two seasons to achieve many wins and podium finishes with their aims at the 2010 TT. Due to an unforeseeable accident with Shaun seriously breaking his ankle at the British round at Thruxton he was unable to compete in the TT that year and at the end of the season Matt retired. Shaun continued with his new driver John Saunders. Shaun's enthusiasm and commitment for the TT enabled him to achieve 17 starts with 15 finishes with the highest being 5th over 9 years. Shaun teamed up with Matt again when he came back to the sport in 2014 he jumped at the chance of racing as a team again and competing in the British F2 championship and the Isle of Man TT Races and beyond. Their results together show what a great pairing they make, At the Isle of Man TT races in 2014 with a starting position of 44 they then qualified 29th and finished 24th and 14th. In the Isle of Man TT races 2015 they really surpassed themselves with a starting No of 29th they qualified a fantastic13th fastest with two top ten results of 8th and 6th. In 2016 they achieved a fantastic achievement of two 5th paces at the Isle of Mann TT races and also were awarded the Mick Hamblin trophy in recognition of their achievements and dedication. Since then Shaun has continued racing in British F2 championships and club meetings and still racing at the Isle of Man TT races. Here I am another week into my continued recovery your best wishes and contributions are as ever making all the difference

So this is wk 6 since the incident been at home for 10 days now and getting stronger every day. Hopefully getting the cast on my left foot off Thursday 9th depending what the fracture clinic say. First physio appointment Wednesday 8th. Spinal outpatient appt also on the 9th so fingers crossed all goes well on those two days. Eye appt not till 23rd but seems to be getting better still despite blind spots still being there on both eyes at the moment, but as I say so much less than it was. Ligaments on both knees not being assessed till 3rd wk of August at the moment but neither knee seems to be giving me huge issues at present so fingers crossed on that too. Just wanted to give everyone an update and thank you all again for your continued support and best wishes.

Hi all, weekly update from me 4 weeks today we had the incident, everyday is another day, feeling determined at the mo had tough physio session today but got there in the end. Thanks everyone for your continued support and best wishes, drives me on each and every day. Shout out to Sadie Dix yesterday for her efforts on the joint fundraiser in the gym quite the achievement go check out her profile and go fund me to see just what she achieved yesterday.

I know some of you may have see this but please share/give what you can to Sadie in her efforts today.
Sadie is the eldest daughter of an old driver of mine Matt Dix over the years that Matt and I raced together she came to nearly all the meetings and followed me even when Matt had retired still.

When Maria and I had our accident in the Isle of Man Sadie wanted to do something to further help raise funds for Maria and I and came up with this crazy idea 120km in a day!!!
