As you know this season there have been some big changes to the South West Scorpions! We have a new look, a new coach, a new venue but what remains the same is the passion from our athletes and dedication to be the best that they can be at wheelchair basketball whilst having fun!
Our vision is to sustain and grow the current club structure accumulating more players in the hopes that we can enter a team into a league next year.
Due to the recent surge in club/team membership fees we fear without support this may not be achievable on top of the clubs current outgoings for training. With this in mind, we’re calling on you: our friends, family, wheelchair basketball lovers and beyond to lend a hand to helping us reach our goal!
We would like to try and raise the funds needed to enable us to continue training every Sunday so we can develop a team who’s ready and able to enter and take on a competitive league.
So what’s the deal?
£10 for a number between 1 and 150, the winner receives £250 and the team receives £1250.
If the full amount hasn't been raised by the end of June then the money will be split with 20% going to the winning sponsor and 80% being retained for the club.
The winning sponsor will be randomly selected by one of club members on Facebook live at the end of July 2019. Comment below a number and we will add it to this post!
Payment can be made in cash to any team member to give to our treasurer at training or PayPal: [email protected].
