A massive congratulations to Deio Owen, who holed his tee shot on the new 2nd hole! Deio is officially the first person ever to get a hole-in-one on this hole here at Porthmadog — history made, and ultimate bragging rights secured forever! 🏆👏Da iawn Deio! 🤩

All of them enjoyed and played very good golf, great to see.

What a weekend at Porthmadog Golf Club! Our members battled it out for the most prestigious titles in the club.

​The conditions were extremely testing on Saturday, and while the weather settled on Sunday, the course remained a formidable challenge. After 36 holes of high-stakes golf, we are thrilled to announce our 2026 winners:

​🏆 Club Champion: Dewi Jones (75 + 75 = 150 gross)

🏆 Glaslyn Cup Winner: Paul Beresford (68 + 67 = 135 nett)

​Huge congratulations to both Dewi and Paul on these fantastic achievements. Thank you to everyone who participated and made this such a memorable Championship weekend!

In a tightly contested away match on Bank Holiday Monday, the Men's Golf Team narrowly fell to Aberdovey in the Caernarfonshire & District 7 a side Knockout with a final score of 4–3.

The victory provided a sense of redemption for the home side, as Aberdovey successfully gained revenge for the previous year’s fixture at Porthmadog, where they had suffered a heavy 7–0 defeat.

Representing Porthmadog in this year's match were Elgan Gwynedd, Dylan Evans, Dilwyn Jones, Steffan Jones, Peter Emmanuel, Mark Crabtree, and Alan Clishem. Despite the overall team loss, Porthmadog saw strong individual performances from Dylan, Dilwyn, and Peter, all of whom won their matches to secure the three points for the visitors.
