Recently promoted Cymru North side Porthmadog have completed the signing of forward Gwion Dafydd, with Chris Jones making an early statement in the transfer market ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.
Dafydd arrives with a wealth of experience across the Cymru Premier and Cymru North, having represented Caernarfon Town, The New Saints, Colwyn Bay and most recently Denbigh Town.
The forward enjoyed a productive 2025/26 season with Denbigh Town, scoring seven goals and providing five assists in the Cymru North. Prior to that, he played a key role in Colwyn Bay’s Cymru North title-winning campaign, registering 14 goals and two assists in 20 appearances as the Seagulls secured promotion.
Porthmadog will be hoping Dafydd’s experience and proven goalscoring record can help the club establish themselves in the Cymru North following their promotion.
