With todays regatta at Coverack cancelled the men went on a nice social row to poldhu

Sadly we are going to have to cancel our Across the Bay event
This was scheduled for Wednesday evening but due to unfavourable weather conditions it was deemed unsafe .
However the good news is we have a second date of the 2nd of September!
So please put that in your diaries!
We look forward to seeing you!

This is to aid with boat arrival and to control sending boats to slip( Marazion are kindly helping with the slip and unloading so a couple of our rowers here would be good here too

Well , after a wonderful regatta at Cadgwith yesterday ( it was the legendary Bullers 40th anniversary and there were representatives from 20 clubs including the Scillies)
Porthleven Pilot Gig Club decided to try our hand at a different kind of paddling!
Dragon 🐉 boat Racing , in aid of the RLNI and hosted by The Greenbank hotel!
9 crews all taking part in 3 heats and then a small final and a big final
… we got into the big final and got ourselves a silver medal!! Whoop 🙌 whoop!
It was an excellent day lots of fun was had ! Thanks to David Banks for organising! I’m pretty sure we will all be keen to have a go next year!

Porthleven mens vets crew ventured up to Brixham Gig Rowing Club for the vets champs and had a great day, big thanks to Sam from Mount's Bay Pilot Gig Club for coxing us to a 3rd place in group B and 15th overall

Busy harbour for the regatta, this wouldnt have been possible without assistance from Mark Benney , Jeremy Richards, and Gary+ family and friends manning the safety boats, huge thankyou to you all for getting soaked out on the water today helping us put this all on
