The last big cycle ride. I thought nothing of cycling to mumbles on a single speed bike. Yea I out rode the lycras a few times on this fixie. I remember doing Porthcawl to Mumbles in one hour and 45 minutes. On 7th September was the beginning of the end of my long distance cycling rides. I got to Baglan and I felt like I had already cycled a 100 miles but only just got to 20 miles. I felt like I needed food and was all weak and no energy all of a sudden. I had a some chips and tea with a sugar and decided to turn round. I go to Remos and I felt worse my lips was heavy and felt so weak. I had more food and struggled the next 11 miles home feeling I was going down with the flu.
Took a few days to get over it but every time I went out cycling I would just go weak. I couldnt even catch my wife up. she would have to wait for me.
So in November 2022 I went to the doctors and for the next 2yrs I would be scanned, poked and even electric shock treatment. Nothing came back from them so I decided to to stop reaching out NHS.
The fatigue was getting more noticeable everyday so a couple a months ago I went back to doctors to get some pain killers because I have no feeling im not sure if I'm in pain. This was a new doctor so you have to say every thing again and she said of cause thats because you have CFS.
Well that fits with what im going through but the desire to cycle is still in me so I have an ebike and hone grom 125cc.
I do miss the tours but I simply have moved on to bikes and motorbikes.
The treatment for CFS or ME is XBOX
