The Club Captains invite you to 𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐆𝐎𝐋𝐅 with

7 holes Texas Scramble in teams of 4. Each player will receive 1 LED golf ball with 4 spares per team.

Book as a team for £80 or as an individual at £25 and we will team you up!

Tees to be booked and paid for by 𝐖𝐞𝐝𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐭𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫. Contact Lady Captain Anne on 07952 166431. Tees available from 8pm.

Registration will be in the Clubhouse from 6pm with the bar open and burgers and hot dogs available to purchase.

There will also be a raffle in aid of the Captain's Charity -

*Bad weather - this is a new event for the Grove and it is important that everyone has a great time! As such, the event will not run in weather that isn't enjoyable to play in. A decision on cancellation can be made up to 24 hours before the event and an alternative date will be arranged.

🏌️‍♂️🏆 THE STONES MARCH TO THE FINAL! 🏆🏌️‍♂️

What a night for The Grove Stones Team !
The Potter Cup semi-final saw the team take on a strong Clyne side, one division above the Grove, at the fantastic neutral venue of Machynys Golf Club, with a place in the final at stake.

And after a brilliant evening of team golf, The Grove came out on top 3–2! 🔥🏆

Anthony Lacey & Lloyd Willis battled hard in a tightly contested match to earn a valuable half.

Phil McGuire & Jake Furness produced a fantastic performance but came upon a strong pairing falling to a 2&1 loss.

Geraint Thomas & Simon Prior were in commanding form, cruising to an impressive 4&3 victory.

Josh Bell & Evan Davies fought all the way in another closely contested match, eventually squaring their game.

Whilst Corey Tamlyn & Rhys Cobley delivered when it mattered most, securing a fantastic 3&2 victory to seal The Stones' place in the final! 🏆🔥

A brilliant 3–2 team victory against a very strong Clyne side, with everyone playing their part in getting over the line.

One more to go… THE STONES ARE IN THE POTTER CUP FINAL where they will meet Maesteg.🏆

A massive well done to everyone who represented The Grove on the night. 👏

Now let’s finish the job! 💪🏆

It was a warm, sunny and calm day for our annual Captains' Charity Day.

The Club Captain and Lady Captain would like to thank those members and friends who supported us on the day and made it a success. Thanks to our greens and on-course staff, Lee Bromley of Birdie Golf and our bar and restaurant staff for doing what they do so very well.

Congratulations to all the winners, Jerry Oliver's team in first place, The Lakeside Team in second and Luke Havard and friends in third place.

We are delighted that a sum of over £1700 will go to our chosen charity, Velindre Cancer Care.

🏌️‍♂️ Potter Cup Match Report 🏌️‍♂️

The Grove were back in Stones cup action last Wednesday evening as they welcomed Glynneath in the Potter Cup, with glorious sunshine and superb course conditions providing the perfect setting for another excellent evening of golf.

The Grove produced a strong all-round performance with an impressive 4–1 victory over a side one division above them. The standout performance came from Anthony Lacey and Lloyd Willis, who were in outstanding form from the start, combining brilliantly to record a dominant 7&6 win.

David Davies and Phil McGuire once again showed why they're such a reliable partnership, playing composed golf throughout to secure a deserved 3&2 victory. Simon Prior and David Evans also battled hard in a competitive match, holding their nerve to claim an excellent 2&1 win.

Steve Cobley and Jake Furness were involved in a tightly contested encounter that finished all square, while David Milligan and Rhys Cobley were once again pushed all the way to the 18th, earning another hard-fought half after a closely fought match.

A fantastic team performance sees The Grove through to the semi-finals of the Potter Cup, where they now await confirmation of their next opponents.

Well played to everyone who represented The Grove.

From the 1st of August we will be updating our loyalty bar card system. All former members who have not renewed their Club membership are to spend their remaining balance by the 31st July using their card. Only active Grove Golf Club members are able to top their cards up.
