Ballygalget AC members were out in force once again this weekend, beginning with a strong turnout in Strangford on Friday evening for both the 5k and 10k races. The demanding route tested everyone, but the atmosphere was lifted by superb support along the course. David Conlon produced an excellent run to secure third place in the 5k, adding another fine result to his season.
Further afield, Emma Healey took on the Rathlin 10 mile race and delivered a superb performance, finishing in an impressive 1:26:36 on one of the most challenging routes on the local racing calendar.
Meanwhile, Donna, Gemma and Paula Roddy brought their Australian adventure to a remarkable close. Not content with completing the Sydney Mini Marathon on Saturday, the trio went on to run the Sydney Marathon on Sunday, marking their seventh Abbott Major โ an extraordinary achievement and a proud moment for the club.
