Established over 30 years ago as the Donna Whitten Dance Studio, Portadown Dance College is one of longest running and best known dance schools in the area. We provide children with the opportunity to entre examinations in Ballet, Tap, Modern and contemporary all under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance as well as take part in dance festivals and competitions all over Northern Ireland. el Stanfield (Principal) is a fully qualified ISTD teacher with a diploma in dance instruction and a degree in dance education. 🌟 A Remarkable Examination Session! 🌟

In the midst of a busy festival season we were also thrilled to celebrate fantastic examination success under the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD).

With an incredible 76 Tap examinations and 66 Ballet examinations completed, our students delivered outstanding performances and achieved excellent results throughout every age group.

These results are a testament to the dedication, perseverance, and enthusiasm shown by our dancers week after week. Congratulations to you all on this wonderful achievement – your hard work has truly paid off, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll accomplish next! 🩰✨🎭

✨ DANCING THROUGH LIFE ✨

As we reflect on Saturday’s 3 incredible Dancing Through Life showcases, our hearts are so full of pride, gratitude, and emotion. 💕🥹

From the moment our tiniest dancers stepped onto the stage with excitement shining in their eyes, to the final curtain call of the day, every performance was a reminder of how special our dance family truly is.

Watching our youngest dancers perform their very first showcase is always magical. Their bravery, joy, and enthusiasm remind us where every dance journey begins ✨🩰 But this year’s showcases were particularly emotional as we watched a large group of our senior dancers take to the stage for the very last time.

For many of these dancers, our studio has been their second home for years. We’ve watched them grow from little girls nervously learning their first steps into beautiful, talented young women. We’ve shared countless classes, competitions, rehearsals, friendships, achievements, laughter, and memories together.

Seeing them perform in our showcases for the last time was a moment none of us were quite prepared for. While our hearts ache a little knowing this chapter is coming to an end, we couldn’t be prouder of everything they have become.

To our senior dancers – thank you…

Thank you for your commitment, your passion, your hard work, and for being role models to our younger dancers. Thank you for the memories you’ve given us and for allowing us to be part of your journey. You will always be a part of the PDC family, and although we’re sad to see you leave, we are so excited to see where life takes you next 💕

To all of our wonderful parents, families, and supporters, thank you for standing beside us every step of the way. Your support, encouragement, and belief in our dancers is what allows our school to continue growing year after year.

As we close the curtain on another year of PDC, we do so feeling incredibly proud of every single dancer who stepped onto that stage. Thank you for helping make Dancing Through Life a day we will never forget.

To even qualify for this prestigious event, dancers must have achieved 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place at festivals throughout the year, meaning every single dancer who stepped onto that stage was already a winner 🥇👏

Feeling extremely proud and honoured to have had FIVE of our amazing dancers take part in Portadown Festivals Bursary Award class this year.

To compete dancers had to have placed 1st in two or more solo sections during the week and once again our girls totally smashed it!! Placing 1st across every main genre of the festival. Proving PDC really does do it all…
