It’s hard to know what you should be doing in the gym when there’s so much conflicting information out there on social media…

We get it. 🤯

Here’s a rule we use though… if something sounds too good to be true, then it probably is. 😫

Quick fixes don’t last.

Trends will come and go.

But here’s what sticks….

Finding something you truly enjoy. 🥰

A community that makes you laugh, helps you clear your head and gets you moving better.

Watching this group grow stronger week by week has been inspiring ❤️💪🏻

Our Midlife movement programme is about helping women over 45 feel confident, capable, strong and supported again.

Strength training is so, so important as we get older. It helps protect muscle mass, bone health, balance, mobility, energy and independence…… not just for now, but for the years ahead. 🤩

And what makes me most proud isn’t just the weights being lifted by these gals… it’s the confidence being built. 🙏🏻🏋🏼‍♀️

Women showing up for themselves, backing each other, trying things they never thought they could do, and proving that strength has no age limit.

So proud of the ladies in this group. You inspire me every week. 🔥💃🏼

I’ll be honest, I’ve been struggling over the last few weeks.

Too much of the wrong stuff. Food, drinks, not enough sleep … you know yourself. 🫣😭

But here’s what I’ve been telling myself this morning…

You don’t need a full reset.

You don’t need to punish yourself.

You just need to focus on what actually moves the needle without feeling sorry for yourself. 🙏🏻❤️

So, right now, I’m keeping it simple:

1. Tracking calories (no perfection needed)
2. Hitting my protein target
3. Keeping my steps up
4. Training without smashing myself
5. Fuelling properly for performance
6. Prioritising rest and sleep

That’s it. 💪🏻

I know when I do this for a week I’ll start noticing changes….

→ I’ll feel better
→ energy will lift
→ I’ll start leaning out without forcing it
→ There’ll be a mental shift

No extremes needed.

Running and Pilates are cool…… but they won’t change your shape anytime soon. 🫣

If you want a body that actually holds onto results, you need muscle. FACT.

Because as women, we naturally lose muscle as we age….. and with it goes our metabolism, mobility, strength, and shape.

Strength training changes ALL of that.

It helps you burn more at rest, build a stronger body, and stay lean long-term…… not just for a few weeks, but for years gals 🙏🏻

The days of getting skinny and running marathons are over 🫣😂

As women we should be wanting to get stronger, more capable, and more resilient….. if not for ourselves, then for our kids and grandkids 🫶🏼
