🏆 More Iveagh member success at the weekend! 🏆

The Saddle Sisters certainly had their winning saddles on! 🐴✨

A team of 4 Featuring three Iveagh members — Molly McCarthy, Ella Hagan and Chloe Hall — the team took 🥇 1st place in the 65cm teams!

And Molly wasn’t finished there, also taking 🥇 1st place in the 70cm class! 👏

Huge congratulations, girls — fantastic results and plenty to celebrate!

Developing an eventing course on a greenfield site is a massive undertaking, requiring extensive infrastructure and logistical planning to ensure the safety of horses and spectators. Yet, the Richardson family successfully transformed the beautiful Moyallen site into a spectacular venue which the Northern Region was delighted to have at their disposal today.

After weeks of dedicated work, the team, supported by Steven and Trevor Smith under the mentorship of Vina Buller, delivered four outstanding courses that earned rapturous praise from competitors and spectators alike. The fences, some of which were located in two beautiful woodland areas, were creatively dressed with trees, flowers, and artifacts, adding to the day’s success.

PS There is a Go As You Please at the venue tomorrow, Sunday 16th, from 13.00 - 16.00. Cost is £30 per horse/ pony payable at the gate on the way in.

We have our final event of 2026 at Moyallen this coming Saturday, 12 September.
We are deeply indebted to the Richardson family for so willingly allowing us the use of this fabulous new venue and we look forward with eager anticipation to a wonderful day of sport in their beautiful estate.
I am short of fence judges as well as someone to do a ‘bun run’ in the afternoon so if you can help, please get in touch.

Right on our door step 🙌🏻

The final NR event of 2026 takes place this coming Saturday at our brand new venue of Moyallen, just outside Gilford.
Please support this event as the Richardson family have expended significantly to provide sport for us.
Vina Buller and Steven Smith have designed flowing cross country courses which will have suitable questions for each level from EI110 to EI80, with alternatives where appropriate. They have made good use of natural features such as the woodland and river crossings and this will be a perfect event for first timers who could compete in the Training classes without having to register at this stage.
However, underage riders need to be assessed and a competency form completed.

Entries for Moyallen will close at noon tomorrow, Monday, 7th September.

Turns out the competitive streak doesn’t stop with the children… the adults weren’t letting them have ALL the fun! 😂

🐴🎉 WHAT A FANTASTIC FAMILY FUN DAY & GYMKHANA! 🎉🐴

Today we held our Family Fun Day and Gymkhana at Moyallon—and what a brilliant day it was! The support from our members was fantastic, with plenty of smiles, laughter and wonderful memories made. 🖤🤍

Everyone enjoyed lots of fun on their ponies, including games, show jumping, obstacle courses and some seriously impressive fancy dress! We also had a brilliant dog show, a delicious BBQ and plenty of family fun.

Even the adults got their chance to compete in Chase Me Charlie—and they certainly didn’t disappoint! 😂👏

A massive thank you to everyone who attended, helped, volunteered and supported the day. The atmosphere was amazing, and it was wonderful to see so many of our members and families enjoying themselves together.

Days like today are exactly what Pony Club is all about—friendship, fun, ponies and making memories! 🐴✨

🌟 A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO RACHEL TAYLOR! 🌟

Everyone at Iveagh Pony Club is incredibly proud of Rachel, who has achieved her Pony Club AH Test with Honours! 🐴🏅

For anyone unfamiliar with the qualification, the AH Test is the highest stand-alone test of horsemanship available within The Pony Club.

It assesses advanced knowledge and practical skills in horse care, welfare and stable management and is recognised throughout the equestrian world.

This is an outstanding achievement requiring an incredible amount of knowledge, hard work and dedication—and achieving it with Honours makes it even more special!

A fantastic result and so very well deserved. Congratulations, Rachel, from everyone at Team Iveagh! 🖤🤍
