We are a canoe and kayak club that offers a range of trips and trainning events to individuals and families. Getting here: Our session are usually run at two venues, Portadown Boat Club and Cascades Leisure Centre. You can access Portadown Boat Club behind Meadows Shopping Centre or Cascades Leisure Centre (Just around the corner from the boat club).

This morning on Stangford

A wee omnibus of the past few weeks on the Blackwater, Lough Neagh and Strangford Lough. Incidently, Strangford Lough's name differs from Lough Neagh, Lough Foyle, Lough Derg, etc because its name isn't Irish. It's Norse, and it means Strong Fjord and was originally only applied to the fast flowing narrows section by the vikings who would sail into the lough raiding and plundering all the fruit scones in Daft Eddy's. Strangford Lough's Irish name is Lough Cuan. So there you go, every day's a school day 🤓
