Recovery is where your body has the chance to repair muscle, restore energy & reduce soreness! Having good recovery practice will allow you to perform better & protect you from burn out!

Here are 5 signs you might need a recovery day this week..

1️⃣ Your energy is low
2️⃣ Your sleep has dipped
3️⃣ You feel unusually sore
4️⃣ Your mood is off
5️⃣ Your performance feels flat

Recovery isn’t “being lazy.”

Your movement with an empty barbell should look the exact same as your movement with a heavy barbell 🏋️‍♀️

When your technique changes because the weight changes, that’s when lifts become inconsistent - and that’s when injuries creep in. Good movement is good movement, no matter what’s on the bar.

👉Lift well.
👉Lift heavy.
👉Move well.
That’s the standard we coach here at Arise.

We’re now in LAST WEEK of our current SGT programme, with two more weeks to go before we move into testing + assessments starting June 22nd. 💪 🎯 This is one of our favourite parts of the block - seeing people realise just how much progress they’ve made.

👉 Summer Training Block : 6th July

Our Summer Small Group Training Block begins week of 6th July, and this block is all about stripping things back and building strong, solid foundations 🧱 💪

Summer can be a messy season for routine - holidays, kids off school, busy evenings ☀️ which is exactly why this block is designed to help you stay consistent, supported, and progressing. 🤝

This block runs all summer, and you can start from Week 1 or join in at any point - the programme is designed to meet you where you’re at.

👉 Complete sessions in our evening groups (spaces available) - 👉 Join our early morning 6.45am groups (slots open)
👉 Complete in Open Gym Slots.

Whatever your schedule looks like, we’ll help you build a routine that works.

We are delighted to be able to be part of the fundraising with Portadown Golf Club for the install of a brand new Defibrillator 👏

Captain Chris Sloan made it his mission to add a Defibrillator to the club, gym & community this year & we were delighted that we got to partner with him 🤝 we pray that we never have to use it, however if we do - we will be very thankful for the easy access to it.
Big thank you to Cardia Care as well for their training & support in this endeavour 🙌
