Well done to all the PYC sailors!

Royal Southern Yacht Club hosted the IOCA End of Seasons Championship with a fruity 25-35knts winds forecasted for the whole weekend, at one stage leaving the organisers questioning whether they would even get a race in.

We are delighted to annouce that the renowned IOCA South pre-RTG winter training is back at Spinnaker and Bosham for the first full programme since Covid - bookings are now open - please see the link here:

This is a fantastic way to meet new friends and improve your oppy sailing and is aimed at those sailors taking their first steps out of your local clubs to those looking to get into the RYA Regional Training Groups in 2023.

We are delighted to announce that on 1/2 Oct, we will be repeating our very popular IOCA Junior Girls Training at Burghfield Sailing Club! Entries open on OurClubAdmin on Wednesday.

This is aimed at girls under Oppie Age 12 that have been racing this year in Regatta Racing or Regatta Coached fleets. The goal for the training is to improve racing techniques and make new friends in the fleet.

We have some amazing coaches including two Olympic hopefuls. There will also be a dinner at the club after sailing on Saturday.

Price £70 for the weekend.

After a successful Late Summer Championships at Brightlingsea we are excited to announce that the next two IOCA(UK) Championship weekends are open for entries.

- End of Season Championships, 15-16 October, Grafham Water Sailing Club

- Winter Championships, 10-11 December, Cardiff Bay Yacht Club

Congratulations to the 20 PYC sailors who made the long trip up to Largs 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 for the 2022 IOCA (UK) Optimist British and National Open Championship. There were some great results with Lila and Eliana Edwards winning the Senior and Junior Main Fleet titles respectively, Will Webster 7th in Senior Main, Will Hakes 9th in Junior Main, Fraser Hakes 1st under 11 in Junior Main, Oscar Dempsey 12th in Racing Regatta and Charlotte Davis 9th in Coached Regatta. PYC also won the award for Top Club! Parkstone Yacht Club
