Evening all, hope you are well? It's been a while since we last did an update. We hit just over £9,500 and after when we get the final lot of money in, we would have smashed the £10,000 target. £2,000 went to the Royal Signals Benevolent Fund, £2,000 went to Cakes 4 Casualties and £6,000 went to the Dorset Destroyers. Thank you to everyone involved with the event. The support from everyone involved was overwhelming. From the players, staff, local businesses, thank you Sandra Hutchinson for putting us in contact with our main sponsor 4Com, Dean Cartledge you did a fantastic job and rest of the team at 4Com did too, Bosworth Acres-Debenham who did all the promotional videos for the event, David Bates did a great deal with getting a Royal Signals team together and many other things behind the scenes, top man!, with the Royal Corps of Signals and Corps Colonel - Royal Signals, Kathleen Ryan with helping promote the event and providing cake with Cakes 4 Casualties, also Sean at Rossmore Leisure Centre for donating the hall hire, thanks to all the physios and everyone else who provided medical treatment for all of our players for the duration of the event, Alex McGowan who was a great driving force behind the scenes with Specsavers, Nick at Santander in Poole thank you for your support with what you did in promoting the event too, Andrew at Manuka Sport for providing very much needed supplements to keep us going it was needed, great products and thank you, OddBalls for sending the hats and helping us promote the event, everyone at The Dorset Destroyers did great, Nick and Sue Coombs, the players, staff, family, friends the list is endless. Thank you to everyone. If it wasn't for everyone who supported our event, we would not have raised the funds we did, completed the event and more importantly raise awareness of the sport and getting more people involved with the sport at other clubs too, as well as the Dorset Destroyers. Thank you so much. Have a good one!

This is what you're money is helping us achieve. We give disabled people the chance to be part of a team, to be able to be with others who want to play a sport and to have fun together.

We are top of our league and unbeaten with 4 wins out of 4. That's how we repay what you have done for us :)

Thank you for believing

Cheers Nick Coombs and all at The Dorset Destroyers Wheelchair Rugby Club

Hi all, hope you are having a great bank holiday weekend. Apologies for the lack of comms. Our auction night a week last Friday was a huge success. We raised £1005. Great effort from everyone and thank you to all involved. Matt Griffiths provided some great entertainment for the evening. Great singer and guitarist, you should check him out, especially if you live in the Dorset area.
4Com our main sponsor from the event paid for the BBQ at Chapel Gate great venue.
It was great to get people back together from the event. The total at the minute is just over £9500 and we still have some money that is coming in. We are all humbled and overwhelmed with everyone involved with our event. The support has been fantastic, words can't describe what you have done. Thank you so much everyone. More updates will be made in the next week or so.
Thank you so much to everyone involved and enjoy your bank holiday weekend.
Cheers and enjoy!!

I could store sports wheelchairs in there and do technical work on them in the warm and dry :) :)

Apologies for the delayed response. It was a great event at the weekend and a the support received from all of our friends, family, local community, local businesses and everyone else who supported our event. You are amazing!! It made it worth the while organising the event.

4Com was our main sponsor and they were fantastic in supporting our event, ceating promotional videos, posters, bibs, providing players for the whole event and many more things too. Thanks to the Royal Signals and Cakes 4 Casualties your support was fantastic. Sean donated the hall hire for us to carry out the venue at Rossmore Leisure Centre

The players did great, as did all the volunteers and staff involved with our event. Without everyone mentioned above, the event would not have happened and been a success as it was. We still have money coming in from the event and we not get the final figures for a good 5 weeks or so yet.

Thank you again for all of your support, it really does mean a lot and we are overwhelmed with everyone's support and generosity. Have a great week and we will update you very soon with more great news.
