We are proud to announce that youngster Luca Saunders has signed on with the first team for the 2026/27 campaign❤️
Saunders progressed through our under 18s side with Poole Town FC Wessex into our under 23s and has now been signed on with the first team setup, emphasising the importance of that pathway set out to allow our youth players to progress into men’s football👏
Luca Saunders said: “I am excited and proud to be signing on for my hometown club. I’ll give everything I have to help the team, and I can’t wait to gain valuable experience with a great group. Up The Dolphins!”
Poole Town FC Wessex Chair, Andy White, said: “I’m absolutely over the moon to see another one of our youth players come through the pathway. Luca has progressed from our Under-18s, into the Under-23s and now into the first-team setup, which is a fantastic achievement for him.”
He added: “It really highlights that the pathway at Poole Town from youth football, through the Under 23s and into senior football is working. We’re identifying and developing homegrown talent and giving these young players the opportunity to progress into adult football and we can’t wait to see who the next player will be.”
