Well established field hockey team based in Dorset, playing in Hampshire and Dorset leagues.

Founded in 1893, Poole Hockey Club has been in existence for well over 100 years and is one of the oldest sports clubs in the country. We run three mens and one ladies team in various leagues across the Hampshire and Dorset region. We are also very fortunate to be able to run Junior teams offering regular fixtures throughout the season for U12 and U14 Mixed squads.

Tomorrow we officially kick off the 2026/27 hockey season with Poole Hockey Club Day!🏑🥳
It’s a day dedicated to celebrating the life of Tom Darlington and the extraordinary impact he had on our club and on sport in Poole. We’re also delighted to be welcoming the Deputy Mayor of Poole during the event.

*Schedule for the day at Ashdown*
* 09:00 – 10:00 Fun coaching session for our junior members
* 11:00 Women’s 1s vs Southampton Uni 1s
* 12:15 A moment to remember and celebrate Tom
* 12:30 Men’s 1s vs Wi******er 4s
* 14:00 Mixed O35s vs New Forest Beavers
After‑match teas for players will be served at Ashdown.
Come along and cheer on our teams.

_Please note: there are no interclub fixtures scheduled. Wherever possible, the aim has been to offer playing opportunities to all members._
Food and drink will be available to purchase throughout the day.

*Evening social*
From 17:30 join us at the electric BBQs at Branksome Beach for a relaxed club social. Bring some food, drinks and a few games.
