‘I have never felt more comfortable stepping foot in a gym’
^^ often it’s literally this part that is the hardest, because when you start out at the gym it is just easier to not go.
My aim as a coach is to make the gym as fun as possible while building my clients confidence and finding a way of training that is best suited to them - and definitely not a one size fits all approach
Explaining the why instead of just the what so that once the knowledge is there, my clients can feel confident enough to come to the gym outside of our sessions
Showing that it’s fine to have ‘off days’ and actually it’s a much better (and more sustainable) route to their goals if they enjoy life outside of the gym along the way
& eventually it gets to a point where they feel familiar with the gym, they’re in a routine with their workouts/food and it genuinely does feel harder to not bother and break the routine than to just pop into the gym and give it a go
