Ok regarding customers asking us at Chopsea charters to do 4hr bass trip's, the answer is NO our bass trip's are all day 8hrs or longer as it takes atleast an hour to get to the good areas depending on state of tide and sea conditions.
And we also got to consider the comfort in those areas as at times not for the faint hearted hence why we only take 6 people even though we're licensed for 10.
Then we have the challenge of getting 6 people big enough bass each for them to take that are the legal size.
Now if they do get the quota thats allowed at 3 each per person big enough to keep is a bit of a challenge with 6 people.
Yes people fish for bass in poole harbour and there's only a hand full of people I know that are good enough to get the big ones and they been fishing constantly for many many years and some dedicated to it, poole harbour is a bass nursery and 100,s of small bass not legal to take home.
But it does produce some big ones if your expert enough to hook them as others do.
But we definitely wouldn't be able to get 6 legal size bass in 4hrs for customers to take home.
Thats why we go offshore all day for them as its 80% better chance of smiles all round.
So please stop calling for 4hr bass trips as we dont do them.
All day 8hrs only
And most dates booked up until November unless there is a group of 6 that want a mid week date.

I will not be commenting on this unless others have info I need please...
All im willing to say is the first pick is us at anchor directly over a wreck for 2 hrs with other boats before the rib and divers arrived.

More quality table fish as requested from todays group that booked the boat all day.
Still loads of mackerel and bream, with bass congers and a couple of rays, the rays were returned.

Few weeks of bad luck trying to get our engine back up and running.
Had a few people help with trying to sort it so in the end and after £1000s & £1000s spent we've replaced everything mechanical on the engine from ecu,pipes pumps, sensors and more and finally today she fires up again and after a good run out to pevril point and through part of the jurassic Coast everything is back to purring like a kitten. Happy days.

Didn't get time yesterday to share the pics from the morning trip.
The two young brothers had us in stitches all morning and they also caught some great bream and congers.
Chopsea charters has such a good laugh when the kids step on board..
Yesterday the youngest at just 4yrs old definitely stole the show with his cheekiness and smile.
He also put us in our place saying right bruv im going to re bait my own hook with my choice of bait and get the biggest bream today..
So he put a small bit of squid and 2 whole rag worm and then he said time for the secret bait in his snack box.
Pulled out a McCoy crisp and gently got it on the hook.
Then hes like here we go strap me down.
Well boy did we laugh when in 20 seconds or less hes laughing his head off as he only brings in a fantastic bream.
Definitely showed us a thing or two.
All witnessed by the mornings crew that him and his brother kept us entertained for the morning.
Haha such a great crew.

Well the corporate trips are done with Chopsea charters and Boney M Sea Fishing Charters and Channel Swim training Poole.
So how this came about was last year Chopsea took out some guest that really enjoyed the trip and said they will be in contact early in the new year.
So back in February this year the phone went and said who they were as they booked last year and want to book some for this summer. No problem I said.
160 people, haha ok its the ferry you need not us.
No we want 8 trips 20 at a time.
Ok we can do that but will need to recruit another boat.
It just so happens I was talking to Louis on boney M at the time as our boat was out the water being maintained.
So turned to louis and said fancy 8 trips of 10 in the summer, yep absolutely.
So the first bit was confirmed we can do it.
We sort out dates another time.
Then got the email about could we help with places to stay and places to eat for 40 at a time as they will send 20 down at a time then they switch rooms and places to eat.
So after we got that all sorted the invoices went in for Chopsea charters and BoneyM .
Few days later the whole 8 trips paid separately for both boats in full.
We have now completed all the trip's.
We got invited to dinner that me a chrissy accepted as unfortunately Louis and Sarah couldn't make it at such short notice.
At this dinner was the ceo and others and thanked us for some amazing fishing and the help with sorting the hospitality and food.
So into the town of poole they told us the whole event came to £25k that was spent with hospitality and booked restaurants and food so thats good for local businesses including us.
On a good note they have guaranteed and signed up for next year but triple the trips 24 trips 480 people from may through to August.
They did miss one trip on monday as staffing issues they couldn't get to poole as they travelled from all over the UK.
Said to them send the details and myself and Louis will return the money for that day.
No no no.
You all worked hard keep the money as a good tip each.
But hey, im proud of what we all achieved so huge thanks to my wife chrissy.

So what did they catch.
Every trip they had lots and lots of bream.
Over the trips they also had bass mostly sizable, congers Gurnards rays smoothounds Tope mackerel gobys pout, turbot dog fish.
But most of all they all had great team building experiences for them all.
Well thats us for the corporate events until September now.
