Flash had her first attempt at a half marathon and my first distance race in a long time. It ended up 22k with the last kilometre heading to the finish and then looping away round a field. It was a hard finish but a good race with a very unexpected result. Thanks to Line Out and our 1.5m line, we didn't get tangled up moving through all the solo runners that started 5 minutes before the canicross.

Alexis and Sirius kicked off their canicross season this morning taking part in the 5km canicross event hosted by the folks over at Ower Trail Running.

He described the course as "Twisty, challenging, technical and a lot of fun!"

A tough course but still managed to place 1st in men's and 2nd overall after a fun, friendly race with some familiar faces!

Great chance to test out the new Sledwork running belt, harness and line from Canicross UK

Well done to all the team at Ower for all their hard work, looking forward to seeing what you next!

Home from a great weekend with the NATB Dog Sports crew. Temps were low enough to get a few short runs in with all the dogs. We were also lucky enough to pick up some fantastic prizes for the 22/23 season.

Looking forward to what 23/24 brings!

We've been a little quiet lately due to lots of life stuff going on but thought we'd stop by and say hi!

Warmer weather means a shift in training. Some well earned rest for the dogs and more focus on the two legged team mates conditioning for next season.

Unfortunately Alexis has been having some issues with minor injuries but the good news is he at least had an excuse to get yet another pair of trainers!

A huge thank you to the folks at Runnin Free for fantastic advice and service as always.

Another busy weekend done and dusted and some great results for our little crew. Charlton Park always throws up a surprise or two and even with a shortened course it was great fun.

Alexis brought home๐Ÿฅ‡in Mens Canicross 40+ with Sirius. They've had a brilliant season having switched to focusing on canicross only and continue to push each other on!

Myself and Wolfie took home 4th in DBNordic and the girls (Farrah and Flash) nabbed๐Ÿฅ‰in 2DB. After our last race I'm so pleased with a weekend of clean runs on a course that always challenges us!

And of course Rainn and Farrah took part in the wonderful Cubs race. He's loved taking part this season and we are really excited to see if he carry's on in daddy's footsteps!

We came home with some wonderful prizes supplied by NATB Dog Sports, Alpha Feeds, Canicross UK and Love2swim. We also had the opportunity to try some free samples from DoggyRade which went down very well with our four legged team mates! And a huge thank you to Geoff for the professional pictures!

Thanks to everyone for a brilliant weekend

Not much rest as we have our last race of the season next weekend and then we will start training and planning for next season!

All set up for a weekend racing with NATB Dog Sports. Have a good one everyone ๐Ÿ’™

A little late but we've had a busy week with work, birthdays and general parenting fails!

Last weekend the crew was racing with NATB Dog Sports at the wonderful Hinton Admiral Estate. A busy weekend with some amazing competition. Alexis and Sirius brought home๐Ÿฅ‡in men's 40+ canicross despite the temps being a little warmer on day 2, Angela had bit of a disaster on day 2 picking up separate punctures in both classes but still managed to hang to ๐Ÿฅ‰with Wolfie I'm Nordic Bikejor and the Farrah and Flash put in clean runs both days. Rainn got to run with Farrah in cubs and is really starting to pick up the technique! He's saying he wants to do bikejor soon but we think he needs to be able to take the stabilisers off first ๐Ÿ˜„

A lovely weekend spent with good people and some top prizes received from Alpha Feeds, Canicross UK, Line Out and NATB.

2 more races left for us this season and then we start training for the next!

Thanks to Geoff P for the fantastic action shots!

Well that was a cold one!

Last weekend saw everyone competing at Yateley for the third round of the NATB Dog Sports series. It was finally cold enough to run a full course (though maybe a little too cold for some).

After having to scratch racing the weekend before due to illness it felt good to be back out on the trails. A solid performance on day 1 put Aleixs in a comfortable position for day 2 in the Men's 40+ canicross class. Angela and Wolfie had a great start in the nordic breed bikejor class but the girls in 2 dog bike couldn't compete with some fantastic times being put on the board from the rest of the field. Rainn had a brilliant time with Farrah in the cubs class enjoying their run on both days!

Final result were
Alexis Mens Canicross 40+ ๐Ÿฅ‡
Angela Bikejor Nordic Breed ๐Ÿฅˆ
Angela 2 dog bike 4th
Rainn Cubs ๐Ÿ˜€

We took home fantastic prizes from Alpha Feeds, Canicross UK and Line Out. Happy days all round!

A huge thank you to Geoff for some lovely pictures of all the action.

Wishing you all a Happy Christmas and a cracking New Year!
