The season kicks off tomorrow with our Club Champs! 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

It’s a fantastic opportunity for the whole club to come together and support one another, from our 7 year old Dolphins, right through to our National swimmers in the Performance squads and Masters.

It’s also the first opportunity for Becki to see our swimmers in action 👀

🔥WE’RE BACK!🔥

The new season is officially up and running, and we couldn’t be more excited! 😁

We’re also absolutely thrilled to welcome our new Head Coach, Becki McGuire, to Newcastle Swim Team! 🙌

“After a very successful 8 years at Morpeth Swimming Club, I am incredibly excited to have joined Newcastle Swim Team this season. The city has a rich history of producing top-level swimmers, and I am looking forward to being part of that continued success and legacy.

There’s a lot to be done, but we’ve already made a brilliant start to the season with new coaches and great buy-in from swimmers and parents.”

👏 Congratulations Richard! 🇬🇧

A huge well done to NST swimmer Richard Dann, who represented GBR at the European Aquatics Masters Championships in August.

Richard competed in the Open Water 3K in Bratislava and achieved a fantastic 5th place!

Following completion of the Young Aquatic Helper training earlier this year, Claude has been supporting young swimmers at Tynedale Swimming Club in Hexham, close to his home, as part of his DofE award.

Working with Tynedale’s Foundation Squad, Claude has been helping swimmers with their technique, setting them off during training, and offering guidance on turns and dives.

A huge thank you to Tynedale Swimming Club for welcoming Claude, and to Head Coach Mark Seymour for supporting one of our swimmers. This is a fantastic example of the North East swimming community coming together, with one club helping to develop a swimmer from another. It highlights the real benefits of collaboration between clubs and the positive impact it can have on swimmers across our region.

Our thanks also go to Tynedale coaches Ellie, Kirsty, Jamie and Abe, as well as all of the Tynedale swimmers, for making Claude feel so welcome on poolside at Wentworth Leisure Centre.

We wish Tynedale Swimming Club the very best for the season ahead!

It's been a long few weeks of swimming Scottish Nationals, Next Gen British Championships, Open Water Nationals and Last day of of the Swim England Summer Championships.
