Acceleration is key in football for winning tackles and duels and your first 5-10 metres decides everything ⚽️

The first 5–10 metres will often decide who wins the ball

To improve acceleration focus on:

• resisted sprints - this will help with force production 🔥
• sprint mechanics (wall drills) 🔥
• explosive power (broad jumps) 🔥

Trying celebrity workouts: WWE edition 🤼‍♂️

The biggest WWE event of the year is on today and Finn Balor may or may not be apart of it 💪

Finn Bálor might have one of the most misunderstood training styles I’ve seen from any high-level athlete.

Compared to most celebrity workouts, this looks weird because of the unbalanced bars, offset carries, awkward positions. Even Sheamus struggled in this session and that tells you everything

This isn’t about chasing a pump or lifting the heaviest weight possible. This session is about control, stability,and strength that actually transfers to his sport

Wrestling is chaotic, unpredictable, and never symmetrical and Finn’s training reflects that perfectly.

As a strength & conditioning coach, this is the kind of work I love, less ego, more intent, and training that prepares the body for real demands of your sport

Not every workout is meant to look impressive
Some are meant to work

This video was taken straight after a 23km run.
I don’t look like I’ve just run 23km and that’s the point.

Two years ago, I would’ve laughed if you told me I’d be doing runs like that
Now? The idea of it excites me
That isn’t weird, that’s growth

It’s what happens when you decide to work on yourself, commit to the process, and show up consistently

You don’t need to be ahead of everyone
You just need to be better than yesterday
1% better

Train with intent
Recover properly
Stay disciplined when motivation fades

That’s how athletes are made

Train With T 🔥

This is going to be a regular uploading as I take you through my training starting with a strength day today. We start with a compound lift in a deadlift

I haven’t been training 100% properly recently as we are carrying 2 slight injuries but hopefully be back to full fitness soon

If you want to try this session here it is :
Trap Bar Deadlift 5 x 5
Pull ups 2 x failure
Bent over row 2 x 10 reps
Lat pullover 2 x failure
Leg raises 2 x 10 reps
Bicep curls 2 x failure

A pull + posterior chain day with vertical pull, horizontal pull and lat isolation 🦾

Bicep curls and ab raises are accessories without frying our central nervous system too much 💪

Needed to change my whole training plan round as I can’t put much power or anything in my hand at the moment ( I could feel the weight in my hand so was holding it with 2 fingers in some of the clips)

Working on a few different aspects today, first session in new year and first session back in a few weeks now

Really enjoyed today’s change of session and gives me an idea of where my plyometrics work is at

End of an era 👏

Good things always come to end however when 1 door closes one door opens 🏋️

My time of personal training at has come to an end however I will still remain at ènergie Fitness Pontypridd as Fitness Manager

ènergie Fitness allowed me to be in a place I could find my love for fitness again after going through the motions of training for a while, grateful for the opportunity given to me by Jake and the team 💚

I will be taking my business online and online only as we grow ✅

I will be committing my time more strength & conditioning now and trying to become the best S&C coach I can be to now help develop athletes 🏋️

Thank you to all my clients who have trusted me to help them reach their goals, it’s been one hell of a ride from early 3am clients to 11pm clients I done it all 😂

Meet Hannah 🏋️

Hannah 12 weeks ago won the competition within The Gym Girl Group for a free 12 week plan “The Peach Plan” with myself. 12 weeks off nothing but glute growth and leg strength was the aim 🍑

12 weeks off online coaching and daily accountability plus weekly check ins and Hannah’s results have been amazing to see ✅

The confidence that Hannah has in the gym now is sky high and for the month of December she was voted Decembers member of the month by the staff due to her progress in the gym not just physically but also mentally 🔥

Couldn’t be prouder of the effort Hannah put in over the 12 weeks i think she complained just the once and that was when I made her do 100 lunges as a warm up 😂 ( she still done them )

Well done Hannah 12 weeks over just in time to relax those legs enjoy your Christmas period and celebrate the hard work which has been done 👏

Hannah said “ I just want to say thank you for sharing your expertise and your support over the last 12 weeks, it’s crazy how much progress I made in that time. Now I have new goals I want to achieve and climb towards thanks to this plan and I feel so much more confident, in myself in general now, and also to be able to reach these new goals and just keep getting stronger (and maybe even enjoy a leg day! 🤣)”
